I have played the demo and it was really fun. Does the actual game thats not in the demo suck?

It plays great, it's just that the story is downright awful and the multiplayer is stripped down compared to Killzone 2.Not-A-Stalkerthis. i hate the sensitivity of the game too, can't get it right. Can't slide and lock to cover for MP either....it's just average.
dont listen to anyone... the campaign was very enjoyable and everything just went 5 x better half way through *wont spoil* the mp is really fun as well and the controls have thankfully been fixed. campzoropinion bro..opinion. Compared to other games the story is just plain bad. No one care for the characters...they're simply boring grunts. If it wasn't for the mindly satisfying gameplay the game would be considered real bad by the majority.

Which barely had any story. The story trailer seemed very interesting. I heard people say the same thing about KZ1 when I thought its story was great.
Nothing. It plays just fine. It's just most of us have grown tired of the constant barrage of FPSs and Space marines.

And like, tens times better than KZ2.[QUOTE="campzor"]dont listen to anyone... the campaign was very enjoyable and everything just went 5 x better half way through *wont spoil* the mp is really fun as well and the controls have thankfully been fixed. soapandbubbles

I enjoyed the story A LOT it was fantastic and i CARED ALOT about sev and narville and i also cared about the internal fight between the helghast leaders[QUOTE="campzor"]dont listen to anyone... the campaign was very enjoyable and everything just went 5 x better half way through *wont spoil* the mp is really fun as well and the controls have thankfully been fixed. soapandbubbles

As far as weapon handling goes, from playing the demo I didn't like how they made the guns feel lighter.
Nothing. Oscar worthy script , best weapons and enemies ever in a shooter , Warzone remains the best multiplayer mode of all time in any shooter , amazing sound , tightly craftedlinear gameplay , best graphics of 2011 so far , Rico still lives , etc ! What more could you want out of a video game ? It's a watershed moment for gaming.
Gameplay is great. The story is actually not bad at all. They hired some top notch voice actors who all mostly did a great job. I honestly have no idea what people that went out of their way to criticize the story are talking about. It actually was one of the better and more developed stories you will find in a first person shooter, albeit some of the lines are still cringe worthy. On the whole I certainly don't see how it stands out as "bad". It's not as if the shooter genre is known for games with deep stories and fantastic voice acting . Play Crysis 2 if you want a game with an awful story and cheap amateurish voice acting.
I haven't ventured into MP much yet at all, but it did seem stripped down from KZ2. However I saw somewhere future updates will be adding a bunch of things that were ommitted, pretty sure they are putting back in custom ranked games (?) and maybe a browser list(?) - hopefully anyway. Think I saw the details of the patch it on here actually, patch 1.07.

It wasn't Oscar worthy obviously and I wasn't expecting it to be, but it did exactly what it needed to. Connect each chapter together with a somewhat interesting narrative and make you at least kinda care about the outcomes. The cutscenes had great production values and... just made sense. Killzone 3 story was just 8 hours of stupid. I made a post a few weeks ago where I explained my thoughts more, let me go find it for you.

Compared to other games, KZ3's story is fine, and maybe even above average. It's not a great story, but very few games can boast such a claim, and most games' stories suck worse than KZ3's.
The MP is just about perfect gameplay wise, but the lack of region locking has me not playing as much as I would be otherwise.
NOTHING is wrong with it.IF you like shooters FPS at that...Then you will LOVE KZ3. It is beautiful, plays well, and is ahead of other shooters "to me" by a lot..Just very good from beginning to end.

The production values of Killzone 3 were significantly better than Killzone 2. It seems they tried harder in KZ3, if there was a downfall it's that the delivery of a story felt a little more "forced" in KZ3. Some lines will make any adult cringe at their stupidity, and the whole concept is loaded with cliches. But hey, at least it's pretty to look at and all the voice acting is spot on.
If I were going to talk about which shooters have a worse story than KZ3, it would be a hella long list. I'm not trying to say KZ3 has a "great" story,as it doesn't. Not compared to flims. Really in a game like that sotry is just an afterthought to me that just ties the game together. Honestly though, almost every single military shooter I've played recently has a worse story than KZ3.
Crysis 2 for example is a visual and gameplay feast, but the story is hot garbage. The best thing I can say about it, is that story is that it's almost nonexistant. I would almost prefer that actually, for the sake of immersion. However if your are going to deliver only bits and pieces of a greater story like in Crysis 2- it better at least be somewhat coherent and well voice acted. Unfortunately it's not. That game sounds almost like they hired their accounting department and receptionist to do the voice work (I have no idea of they were professional actors or not, but my first take was it was just really poorly done overall). Yet in the KZ3 review this site says "story is awful" as a bulletpoint, in Crysis 2 they don't even mention the story other than to say it starts a bit slow. Yeah, I'd say that's a HILAROUS understatement.

true but i never got that WOW moment or just any moment where i cared for anything or anyone in the story. No mission was considered satisfying...it was just so, well...dull. different tastes...i just feel nothing for the characters. No development there.Well, I can't go into greater detail, due to my time limit in here, but I'll give you some info. Multiplayer is pretty fun, though it's said that it's dumb down from K2, which I can agree in some degree. It's a fun multiplayer, but I have problems with its matchmaking system and playlist (though maybe there's an update that fixed that). Campaign is fun to play.
Now here's the bad part. The story is pretty weak and my main complaint is the storytelling. The cutscenes are at times unnecessary, low-res, and oddly transition. As for the low-res part, I mean that the sound effect is low and didn't really blast my surround sound, which is a downer. Also, the campaign is pretty short. I beat it in 4 hrs and 30 min and the ending is really done quickly.
There you have it. I personally give it 8.5. Not my favorite of this year, but it's worth to try.

Tries to hard. It's too synthetic. No passion. Just a run and gun (with recoil :o) with unlikeable characters. But it has nice graphics, so....

Eh. Refer to the post I just made ^^. I feel like they didn't even try (with the cutscenes). And can you explain to me the lack of Natko? He was a main character in the first game... How do you just do that to a main character?
