What is going to make the ps3 sell?

3 solid titles so far in Killzone, MLB The Show and Infamous. These will help

Still coming this year supposedly

God of War III, MAG, Heavy Rain, Ratchet, Uncharted 2, GT5 etc

Is it going to be one game or the assortment that will help it sell ultimately? Or will it still fall behind the 360 because the 360 will keep getting cheaper ala the ps2 and the remaining stragglers will buy them to play with their friends etc...

The way they see it is the ps3 is a good value at $399 right now. Just look at the games we are releasing they will say.

What Nintendo does is milking. They can afford to drop the price, but won't because it sells. Good business sense.

Sony is in a different boat. They're posting huge losses this quarter, so they probably can't afford to drop it any further.

GT5, bundles, new SKUs, Slim, different colors, advertising, and of course a price drop.

A price drop and a killer bundle (God of War or Gran Turismo Bundle).

A price cut, better marketing, and more "original" (for lack of a better term) titles (ie less sequels and "Game X killers", more innovation and creativity).

i think people under estimate the power of infamous. He's electric dude. The ps3 needs a boost.

A price drop is pretty much the only thing going to do it. The PS3 already has the good games to get people wanting one and have more good games coming to help. But without a price drop, I don't see games helping to much. Releasing GoW3 isn't going to change the fact that the PS3 cost $400 for the cheapest model. In other words. When you aren't buying the system because of the price, dropping a new game into the pot isn't changing anything. Lack of games isn't the reason most people these days aren't buying one.

Actually it has nothing to do with orginality. I mean we all know seaquels sell. Look at GTA4,RE5 and im pretty sure the next sequels will do fine too like AC2 and MW2. Only real orginal games I can think of thats on PS3 are LBP,Pixel junk series and Ecocrome. Orginiality is going to be seen more on downloadable networks like PSN.

I will give my opinion on what I think would make the PS3 sell millions.Naked strippers{women of course}holding PS3 boxes in every Wal Mart and game store in Canada and U.S.A. Simple advertizing.lol.

Motion Controls with kiddy games more interesting than wii games.

Many wii owners are very rich. they would'nt mind about the price. I don't know if that applies in other countries

but here in my country it is,when the nintendo wii was launched nintendo did not support our country. So console vendors have to import it and priced it at 30,000 pesos which is about $600 and

surprisingly many bought a wii.

make a 40gb slim for $299 and a 20gb slim for $199, that will most def. boost sales.

A price drop won't help at all. Sony just lost 1G$. Sure, it will help the console war but Sony will lose more money. The only thing that Sony is making money is probably the Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray players are now cheaper than the PS3. It's a lose-lose situation for Sony. They have to drop the price but they can't.
