What is it called when everyone thinks a game is going to do bad but does good?

Like if everyone thought the game was going to get a 5.0 but it got a 9.0. What do we call this? And if there is no name for this we need to come up with one!

i would consider it a sleeper hit (not sure if thats the right term though).

They call it ignored. System wars is 100% about bored people trying to get one up on other people for hyping games that the gamespot reviewers didn't end up loving...it seems to have nothing to do with which sytem is better at all, just which system's exclusive games are best reviewed by 1 review website...*sigH*

It's called a game nobody buys. Games hyped on System Wars are typically mainstream anyway.

Some people call it a sleeper hit, since like sleeper agents, no one knows about them until they actually come out and surprise you. The two that spring to mind are both from last gen: Buffy and Riddick. Both are adaptations, notorious for getting low scores (that same gen, some of the worst adaptations with the bigger names scored in the 2's), but Buffy was a solid 8 and Riddick actually cracked 9.

I'd call it either the shadow-flop inspired byShadow Link(I think that was link's opposite in Ocarina) or the *no one saw it coming but it came alright in stylish fashion to say the least* game ;).

Riddick is the PERFECT example, no one was hyping this, but when it dropped it was amazing.
