Like if everyone thought the game was going to get a 5.0 but it got a 9.0. What do we call this? And if there is no name for this we need to come up with one!

i remember a thread a while back that people suggested calling it a flip.themagicbum9720Oh, thats good.
They call it ignored. System wars is 100% about bored people trying to get one up on other people for hyping games that the gamespot reviewers didn't end up loving...it seems to have nothing to do with which sytem is better at all, just which system's exclusive games are best reviewed by 1 review website...*sigH*
It's called a sleeper hit. Riddick last gen was a good example, and... Riddick this gen will surprise a few more hopefully.clembo1990A sleeper hit is a game that little or nobody knew about it but does good.

Well done.
It's called a game nobody buys. Games hyped on System Wars are typically mainstream anyway.
An 'effin' miracle!Like if everyone thought the game was going to get a 5.0 but it got a 9.0. What do we call this? And if there is no name for this we need to come up with one!

what do you think[QUOTE="themagicbum9720"]i remember a thread a while back that people suggested calling it a flip.crazy-playerOh, thats good.Hmm, sounds logical. 8)
Some people call it a sleeper hit, since like sleeper agents, no one knows about them until they actually come out and surprise you. The two that spring to mind are both from last gen: Buffy and Riddick. Both are adaptations, notorious for getting low scores (that same gen, some of the worst adaptations with the bigger names scored in the 2's), but Buffy was a solid 8 and Riddick actually cracked 9.

fail Not failI'd call it either the shadow-flop inspired byShadow Link(I think that was link's opposite in Ocarina) or the *no one saw it coming but it came alright in stylish fashion to say the least* game ;).
[QUOTE="themagicbum9720"]i remember a thread a while back that people suggested calling it a flip.crazy-playerOh, thats good. I also agree with the Flip idea. Flip-Flop total opposites!
When was the last time that happened?Cherokee_JackTwice last gen, IIRC--Buffy and Riddick. See my post a few messages up. As for this gen, I'm trying to recall a possible sleeper hit. I think it was for the Wii.
