I haven't played SMG2, but from what I've seen SMG2 >> MGS4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GTAIV. I loved MGS4, it was an epic game. But its not the best game i've played this gen.
MGS4 is by far the best. It truly has everything, graphics, soundtrack, story, boss fights, awesome characters, awesome villains, fan service, replayability, attention to detail, personality. It defines "Next Gen".

I haven't played SMG2 yet, probably buying it today or tmr, but MGS4 or GTAVI, IMO, didn't deserve AAAA anyway, and from what I have seen from SMG and the video reviews, SMG2.

THANK YOU, this is undeniable fact Actually, its an opinion. Didn't you learn about that in school? I prefer Mario. GTA IV wasn't all that great and, IMO, MGS4 doesn't look all that interesting.
I can't speak for SMG 2 as it hasn't shipped yet, but when it comes to Grand Theft Auto IV and Metal Gear Solid 4, I don't think I could ever rank on above the other. Both are truly incredible titles that have changed the way I think of games.
Only played GTA4 out of those, so I can't voice my opinion without being baised. But I will say this: GTA4 wasent 10 level. More like 9.0, for me at least. Should be getting both MGS4 and SMG2 soon.
I have to beat Galaxy 2 of course (having an awesome time right now) but MGS4 really was a monumental game for me. Being a fan of the series and to see it conclude in such a strong way was pretty meaningful. It was just one epic rush of set-piece moments.
I played SMG, and unless SMG2 is drastically different and better, which it doesn't look like, I don't think it deserves a ten. SMG2 is the same general gameplay as SMG, just more improved so I don't think it will be worthy of a ten when I play it.

I didn't particularly enjoy GTAIV or MGS4 but if I had to choose it would be MGS4, although I'm pretty sure I would enjoy MG2 far more then the previous two games.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is something on a totally different level beyond your typical game. No other title should not dare be compared against its greatness until probably next gen.
