What is the best gaming franchise of All Time ?

Quite a few threads created like this end up in Zelda, I think there was an official System Wars stickied poll.

Anyways, Zelda.

Zelda, Halo, or FF.

As far as i'm concerned, it's between Zelda and Mario. Zelda's best games are (slightly)better then mario's, but the influence on the gaming industry mario has had over and over is not to be ignorned.

Though i prefer Zelda; I'm going to have to say Mario.

but yet still sells like hot cakes - crazy isnt it

same as the fact that the biggest selling game in europe for the last 3 years now has been a need for speed game (i think anyway)

I'm a bigger Zelda fanboy, but there is no denying that Mario has been the biggest and best name in video games for more than 20 years for a reason.

Pokemon comes in a close second, with FF and Zelda following.
