What is the most ambitious project of 08?

I'm going with infamous

Fable + GTA + tons of super hero powers =awesome

I can't imagine what awesomeness I could do in this game, too much coolness. Throw fireballs at police cares, so much cool stuff, I so need to see gameplay now that I think about it.

For me MGS4, i mean 1 million in one day, they must be doing a freaking hell of a game.

I'm a PS3 fan and I don't know anything about this game? Why are you hyped for this again? Do you have any info that will give other PS3 fans like me a reason to be hyped for this game the way you seem to be.

And forgive me if I seem alittle ignorant but I have't exactly seen well..anything about this game since it was announced.

Its pretty hard to say which one is the best its gonna be another great year and more importantly a year with more variety.

It can the best sim ever or the biggest flop ever.

EDIT: If Fable 1 is the biggest flop at the moment with 8.6 imagine this game scoring 8.5

No system req's are out yet but imo i doubt it would need a powerful system, graphically seems to be more focused on artstyle over technical realism. It depends how much is going on later in the game as to what kind of processing power might be involved but from everything ive seen it should be a game set to run on a very wide range of hardware.

MGS4 sold 1 million copies in one week. WTF happened to the world wide release that Konami promised.

I dont see how franchises are amibitious projects so thats Fable, GTA, MGS are out the windows. De blob is probaly the most ambitious project.

Only this is a 100% confirmed feature, about 5-6 times, in interviews, forums, the first ever Fable 2 video 2.5 years back etc etc

It is one of the main Fable 2 features

You suggest Fable 2 will be 15 hours less than Fable 1 was ? I finished Fable 1 in about 20 hours

RPG's always have these so called 100 hours gameplay but 9/10 its more like 20/30 hours.

Only RPG which iv played which has taken me over 100 hours is breath of Fire 3 and FFTA.

I have put more thn 90 hours in Fable 1 now, finished it 5 times and i am in a 6th now

Oblivion was 120 hours for me too

Is that 100 hours of gameplay as in its taken you 100 hours to complete or is that 100 hours of gametime as in you have played it 100 hours starting again with a new game. If #2 thats not 100 hours thats going over old material.

Breath of Fire 3 took me 100 hours to complete and so did FFTA.

I finished it 3 times fast, with all classes, on xbox 1, then LC once on xbox 1, then LC on 360, and replaying it now on 360, because even after all that i still missed some things

The LC took me about 25 hours to finish

But since i had different power, and always found new thing in each play, you can count it as full 100 hours, like Mass Effect can be played 5-6 times, and still have a blast, find new things, see new powers each time

Remember that everything about Fable 1 was choice, you can do all quests differently, see new quests depending on which you take, do different boasts as to how you will finish them, and change the way you carry out the quest as you move through it

So, it is never as going back to old material, since that material is defined by you each time

Fable 2 amplifies that x100 , because now you can buy the whole world, influence how cities are formed and how they look, influence how the story changes depending on your action etc etc!!!! and is a 10x more huge game, and completly free roaming unlike the first, that is will be more than 200 hours for me easilly, just for the single player game

When i have finished it 3-4 times, and have a world to invite friends for co-op multiplayer, then could well be played for life, or until Fable 3

Spore and Empire Total War.

Mind you they got their work cut out for Starcraft 2, because if it is anything other than brilliant, loads of RTS, PC and starcraft fans will be well p%^sed at Blizzard

Every GTA game, at least 200 hours and at least 8 plays though on each (all optional missions too). ROFL, probably should have revised for school back then :P

Anyhoo, most ambitious project for 2008? Killzone 2. I mean, they said they aimed to make the game as good if not better than the e3 2005 prerendered footage. Fair play to them if they pull it off coz I will be damn impressed if they do.
