@GarGx1:
Oh good point. I say PC from that list because of how many people have them and play whatever kind of games on them whether they be time killer or blockbuster.
PS4 is a casual paradise. Sony is making sure its the focus of their future endeavors and are smart to make it about everything other than gaming. It is close to the ultimate casual box.
Considering PC has the most ppl....I would think common sense would say that.
All 60 million Steam users can't be leet as ****.

Theres over 100million active users and over 200million total users on steam.
But you are right, PC is the most casual system now that I think about it, as its library is so ludicrously diverse and accessible.
It's also the most hardcore at the same time. What a device.
PS4 is made for casual experiences. I'd say PC, because it partially is with the largest casual user base, but it also has some very in depth games unique to the platform.
I don't buy the idea that's anything inherently wrong with a game being casual or something inherently good about a game being hardcore. Mario games are pretty "casual" but are pretty much unmatched in their genre.
maybe because every thing in its genre is called a "mario clone" is the reason its unmatched
But yeah nothing wrong with mario or any casual game
@-God-: how do you quantify how hardcore a platform is?
Take the opposite of what quantifies how casual a platform is.
and what is that exactly?
Ask the OP.
so you don't know what is used to quantify how casual a platform is, and thus don't know what quantifies how hardcore a platform is?

"everything other than gaming"? Please explain
I'm very curious to know what stupid line of thought made you reach that baseless conclusion. I dont see Sony forcing us casual cr4p like the Wii or the WiiU tried to do with their gimmicky peripherals or the Xbox One with the Kinect and the "TV TV TV". What exactly makes the X1 less casual than the PS4? I'm curious to know. Oh right, you're just another idiot sheep thats hating on the PS4 because its selling like hotcakes and completely obliterating the competition...
If anything the WiiU is more casual then the twins cause besides a couple of good exclusives it has NOTHING going for it. Oh and lets not forget Nintendo games aiming towards casuals like Nintendo Land, Mario Party, etc, etc
I consider hardcore games more challenging and involved that can also require larger investments of time. They can require more skill and can be extremely competitive. They are something casuals can't just pick up and play easily, with less hand holding. For example StarCraft II and Arma III can be more hardcore while something like The Order and Killzone is more casual.
PC has far more of these hardcore games and genres with far more people playing said games.

i guess a "zerg rush" is pretty harcore ?
and great example of avoiding the question

Can we see your numbers that brought you to this conclusion?

I know you two are only attacking me because of my post history, but do you with a straight face actually believe PS4 is more hardcore than PC?
PC has several apm competitive king RTS, deep thought play for days TBS, million dollar prize Mobas, play or die Mmos, weeks to learn Simulators , and super skill Twitch Shooters while PS4 has BloodBorne (which was dumbed down compared to DS) and two tournament viable Fighters......

so you can't provide your evidence?

I just did....PC has more hardcore titles, genres, and competitive scenes.

This thread is good for each and every person to vote for their least preferred platform.. The answer is easily WiiU or PC (which I play both) however. That isn't because their aren't any hardcore games, but because they have the largest amount of casual games across console/PC.

When did i say ps4 ?
when did i say less hardcore?
so because you play it competitevly with other people makes it hardcore?
so nintedo is the hardest of them all?
i gues me beating dmc 3 on heaven or hell was pretty casual
Well you wouldn't buy a PS4, X1, or WiiU if you didn't have at least a small interest in video games. So technically PC and smart phones are the only correct answers.
I don't know what to do with that information, but there it is.
I don't buy the idea that's anything inherently wrong with a game being casual or something inherently good about a game being hardcore. Mario games are pretty "casual" but are pretty much unmatched in their genre.
I don't agree with that. They can be casual but there is much depth to the games design, which is why the series is one of the true hardcore series' out there. Games that are meant to be finished in a weekend with a save point every five seconds--those are the casual experiences. I really enjoy Uncharted but it is a casual game, for sure.

I'm not saying that Mario games are not deep but then again I don't think casualness precludes depth.
Then again, I find casual to be a pretty shallow term anyway.
