What is the most popular gaming platform where you live?

The title explains for itself really. What is the most popular gaming system where you live, like in your school, etc.?

I'll start.

I'm personally a PC gamer, but where I go to school, you either own an Xbox 360 or you don't play video games at all. We have the odd PS3 gamer here and there, and almost little to no Wii/PC owners.

What about you guys?

God knows. A lot of my friends aren't gamers, and a few don't even own any kind of console.

Most people where I live have a 360 and a PS3.

From what i've seen, 360 is the most popular, then the Wii, and i have yet to know a person with a PS3 in my city.

PC it's also kind of strong thanks to WoW and Age pf Conan.

Playstation 3 followed by the Xbox 360.

Xbox 360, closely followed by PS3. No PC or Wii owners

Wish I live where you do. Where I live, it's a crime to play WoW. :P

used to be 360. Now its PS3.

Xbox 360 then PS3 2nd. None of them couldn't give a damn about Wii =)

360, lots of people own Wiis but they dont play them. Its pretty funny though, they believe so much BS from MS :lol:

Here in Poland it is mostly PC games, but the PS2 and PSP are popular as well. There are a few PS3s about, but they are very expensive here and so sales are slow. 360 is not popular as there is NO XBOX LIVE HERE!

Here in Poland it is mostly PC games, but the PS2 and PSP are popular as well. There are a few PS3s about, but they are very expensive here and so sales are slow. 360 is not popular as there are issues with Live here I believe.

I'm a Brit who moved to Poland 18 months ago, and was going to buy a 360 and discovered there is NO XBOX LIVE HERE!

Oddly enough, not too many 360 owners. Mostly PS3 and Wii owners.

i work at MTD, and we employ like over a thousand people,and most of the gamers that i know out there all have 360s/wii's. and the most played game is madden, call of duty. there are a few ps3 players out there including myself (but i also own a 360 and wii), but they are few and far between. i will give it up for the PC though. there are a few counter-strike nuts out there

At work it's mostly PC and Wii. Not much love for PS3 or 360.

Over here in Mainland Europe (Denmark) The PC is the most popular platform by such a large margin that it is nearly laughable.

Some of the reasons for this is the high tax of consoles, and the really poor support and online given by both MS and Sony.

(at launch the PS3 cost around 900$, which equads a midrange PC now they have become cheaper, with around 500$, but it is far too late, when you can drop a few hundred $ more and get a really nice PC, and while a few hundred $ may sound like alot, it is often justifyed, since you pretty much ned a pc, to do your taxes, alot of bills, and any kind of work or school requires a PC, and no it is not optional)

A special mention would go to Nintendo, they are the console mose people has, usually kids and young teens (altho there are a fair amount of older people having it aswell. It is the brand name I think, aswell as the new "casual market"most 16year + gamers have the PC, partly because I quite simply havent seen a home in over 10 years that did not have atleast 1 pc.

So by popularity it goes PC -> Wii ------>PS3--> 360

handhelds are a bit of a wildcard, since they are fairly numorous but hard to spot really.

Quite similar where I live. Where I live, owning a 360 WITH Modern Warfare 2 is a MUST.

Seems like everyone who plays videogames at my high school has a 360, I can really only think of maybe 3 other people besides me who own a PS3.

It's the 360 at the college I go to. Everyone either plays Fifa, Madden, Modernwarfare 2 or Halo 3. That's all they know about video games here, mainstream shooters and sports games. They've never heard of games like Half Life, Team Fortress 2, Tales of Vesperia, Metal Gear Solid (most of them) or LittleBigPlanet.

PC by far. It's like 3 times more popular here than all consoles combined.
