Ugly humanoid aliens? A bit of a cliche by now which is a shame because I simply love Mass Effect and it wont spoil the game for me.

Not sure why this one is here, tbh. They've only been in RPG games, mostly, like Dark Souls and Skyrim. Maybe others, sure, but not that many.
As for the answer, however, I'd have to go with probably the German/Russian/Guy With A Gun enemy. No imagination whatsoever and with the COD. EVERY. SINGLE. @#$%ING. YEAR. thing going on they are quite overused.

However, yeah, I get the point but can't a dev do some kind of scrounging (or whatever that word is) for their games? I mean, a skeleton is unimaginative as an enemy but what else can they do for an undead creature? Really, all RPGS should have some sort of undead creature; undead skeleton, undead zombie, undead dragon, undead werewolf, undead something, undead whatever, undead etc. etc.
That's just me, of course.
Pretty much all of those, and though I like zombies they don't need to be in every game. I'd like to see them in GTA IV though (or GTA V) similar to Undead Nightmare for RDR. Other than that, I'd say they are used too much, just like the others listed.
Human enemies with guns obviously, i hate when games have only that
That is one of the reasons i like GEars 3, it has monsters for a change
Russians and Germans. You can imagine my surprise when I had to shoot the white guy in Golden Abyss.
I'm so tired of fighting giant spiders in RPGs, I'm tired of Russians and Germans in FPS games. Though I am American and love my country (Gov not so much) I would like to see us play more villain roles. I mean so of the crap we do in RL is pretty villain like. I'm sure our Gov would have a hissy fit if that were to happen though.
The giant bugs option should be changed to giant spiders, because 95% of the time that's the bug the developers choose, which really annoys me because I'm arachnophobic. What makes giant spiders such great enemies?
Well you just answered why they do it, many people are afraid of spiders. Doesn't make them a great enemy when they have been done to death though. Maybe the could combine certain things with spiders, like they did with Dark Souls, forget her name. The giant bugs option should be changed to giant spiders, because 95% of the time that's the bug the developers choose, which really annoys me because I'm arachnophobic. How are zombies unoriginal?
Giant bugs are unoriginal. Just because zombies are in heaps of games doesn't mean their actual design is unoriginal. You could say their implementation in games is unoriginal.
Bugs are just stupid
enemies that take too many shots to take down, especially if they are supposed to be ordinary humans, like Uncharted ones.cainetao11
Yeah I hated that. Also the feedback from shooting them wasn't very good either
In this day and age I'd say it's zombies. I swear it's like every devloper now feels the need to put zombies in all their games.
