Monetary value wise, the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition I own is pretty rare, and sells for a high price on places like eBay and Amazon. For purely emotional value, it would be my original copy of MGS 1, as beat up as it is. What you about you, SW? What "valuable" gaming items/collectibles do you own?

It's either my boxed Apple Pippin @World or my Kirby's Adventure Promotional Pillow Store Display...

@World may be the only 'boxed' version left, not sure as there aren't many @World systems left and no one I know has seen one with all of the packaging. Sells unboxed for $1000-1500 on eBay, boxed estimate is $5000 until someone else pops up with another CIB. Kirby's Adventure pillow has sold on ebay twice in the past for $999.99, took screenshots for proof, those are on my desktop at home.

I don't own anything that's valuable anymore. I used to own a PAL copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga which i believe only 10,000 PAL copies were made, i sold it for over $300 on Ebay about 5yrs ago.

I think that game now sells for around $5k. The economy was horrible in 2012.

Last one to sell on ebay went for $336 after 41 bids on Feb 13 2017. Several up right now for $350-500 right now. US version looks more rare, avg's between $400-500 on ebay.

Mah PC.

I don't really hold on to physical games anymore and the few that I have aren't worth shit. Never got into gaming collectibles either.

Would be interesting if Nya still posted here, he probably has a few crazy rare items.

Somewhat rare PS3 games that aren't on PSN like Folklore, Nier, 3D Dot Game Heroes, No More Heroes, and Shadows of the Damned. Also have White original Vita and PS4.

Probably Ultima IX Dragon Edition. It's complete and pristine, has the map, ankh etc, pretty much everything. The box is fucking huge. I keep it because, well, I don't know what else to do with it.

Unsure. I haven't been on the collectible gig and I regrettably sold a lot of my old stuff years ago. But who knows what some of my older games are worth?

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence Limited Edition

1 of 5000 produced, Gamestop pre-order, online-only exclusive. Used copies running $150 on eBay right now.

One of the best returns of investments I've had recently is this little gem:

Paid less than $15 CAD, didn't realize it was going to go up to over $70 CAD now. He sits quietly on my shelf, keeping watch over the apartment.

My biggest (non-video) gaming thing recently is Magic: The Gathering. I'm getting deeply into it and am going hardcore into the Amonkhet block.

I recently started flipping some of my retro stuff that I don't actually play. I sold that copy of SVC Chaos for $650. I got $350 for Baseball Stars 2. Windjammers for Neo Geo CD fetched another $125. There are certain things in my collection that I won't sell, like my Sega CD 32X games. (a total of 6 were made total) I didn't feel bad selling Neo Geo stuff because the games can be had elsewhere for much cheaper. The port of Windjammers coming to consoles in addition to DicsJam made me selling my Neo Geo stuff much easier. And Baseball Stars 2 can be played in many other places.

I am going to leave console collecting behind and start collecting arcade cabinets in the coming years. My basement will become a sports bar/arcade and the cabinets along with a pinball machine or two will be the focal point.

Money-wise? Probably my graphics card, which I always buy at around $250-$300 US. My current card is a GTX 970.

Sentimentally, I have a CD case with two games in it: Fragile Allegiance and Total Annihilation + The Core Contingency. I have both games on GOG, but unlike other games I have digital backups of, I will never throw these discs away. Too many fond memories.

Also, I have a copy each of Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance; all other games I still own physically are reduced to single CD cases to save space, but these two are still in their original packagings, boxes and all.

My Sega Saturn. Just valuable to me since it's one of my favorite systems. My favorite game for it is probably Mr Bones. It's a very underrated, but short game. That and Xmen Children of the Atom.

I used to own these 2 awesome (and pretty valuable) statues, one being a Mass Effect Reaper statue that was 19" tall. Was so cool. And also a Master Chief MacFarlane toys statue that was huge too. But I decided to sell them because I was offered a decent price for them and just didn't have the room for them anymore.

I do sometimes regret getting rid of them though :(

I don't really own much valuable these days. I have some moderately rare DC games. Probably the most collectible item I have from an "unusual piece" standpoint is my Sega Nomad (not really worth a ton, but a good piece of funky gaming history)

Probably my sealed Lunar Silver Star Story and sealed Eternal Blue (both ps1) or decent condition Popful Mail (sega cd) or great condition Magic Knight Rayearth (sega cd). Loved Working Designs and have a bunch more of their games too, some of those might still sell for over $80. Wonder if Dragon Force is still going down in price.

I own various special or limited editions, but no one item is worth a considerable amount of money. Taken as a collection it's bound to be worth a good number of coin but I don't buy these things to sell them, just to have them.

Until I tire of them and throw them out, that is.

ALTP factory sealed rated 90. Probably 4000-5000.

Super mario world sealed...around 1500.

I have too much to list honestly.

@suicidesn0wman Is the only collector on this site that gives me a run for the money. NYA had a lot stuff, but it wasn't really blue chip collector stuff.

I'm not about figurines or memorabilia. I'm just out to have a decent sized and diverse library of great games!

The notable stuff in terms of value-

NES Classic Edition
Megaman X Collection- GC
Resident Evil 4 Special Edition- GC
Pokemon Soul Silver- DS
Turtles in Time- SNES

A rated 90 is extremely rare. Those are the offers I've had for it and declined.

Go to nintendage forums, and you'll see people spending money like it's candy.

Simple, you buy a 2nd copy.

I did the same with my sealed Smash Melee, Windwaker and Conker's Bad Fur Day.

I can vouch for how crazy Nintendo fans are, no real reason that pillow of mine is worth $1k but they're willing to blow a wad of cash for it.

Edit: Also N64DD, I found someone in my area with more than 3x what I have. Person about an hour from me has 12k games and 300 consoles, damn near put a hole in the front of my undies when I saw the pics of the room...its...godly.

lol that's ridiculous, how many games total will that be?

The only hard zelda that I have to buy money wise btw is the original for nes. I'll be dropping probably 3k on it.

I really don't know since I don't keep up with rarity and such. Probably my Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn copy?

Maybe the Collector's Edition Mario Red Wii or Monster Hunter 4 3DS XL.

Maybe the Sealed Game and Watch Collection 2. Never looked into it.

Radiant dawn is around 80 bucks. Monster hunter 3ds xl is going around 200 on average.

Game and watch is like 25-30. Red wii is about 100 CIB.

@n64dd: It's 864 total, I've got 838 on the shelf right now but some are doubled up because I have sealed and play copies. My overall collection is over 3800 games now and 80 consoles, though I'm going through and finding out what still works and what is broke. Took my 64DD to a game night a few months back and the motor stopped working, $500 paperweight. ;\

My NES Zelda is damn near brand new, bought it off of another collector who bought it new but wasn't in the shrink. I inspected it though and it's perfect, corners are as crisp as possible. I'm fine with that though, it's good enough for me. Looks good on the shelf and anyone who handles it holds it like a newborn.

You know me, I need it sealed.

That's a ridiculous amount of games. Sorry to hear about your DD. My buddy's won't play the f-zero expansion disk. It's weird. His is kind of screwed as well.

I have a copy of Pokemon Red with 149 pokemon in the Pokedex, AND it is so corrupted thanks to MissingNo. that it turns off after about 10 seconds.

No big deal

@n64dd: Yeah, I found out that same night that my copy of FZeroX disappeared too.

I hear the motor on these is similar to a Zip Drive so I may take a few of those apart to see if I can use any of the parts to fix it, both use magnetic drives I believe.

Once I finish this Xbox collection I'll probably slow down a bit, plan to focus on getting box/manual/packaging for all my loose items, replace my greatest hits games with black labels. Collecting is getting too expensive though, everybody with a cell phone is a reseller these days.

I would have thought the Game and Watch Collection games would be more expensive since you can't get them anymore.

Interesting to know that the Monster Hunter 3DS is that expensive.
