What is the one game you are most hyped for at this moment?

Mine is Astral Chain, coming out August 30th. Love the art style and the combat. This is pure Platinum bliss! It's a shame that they aren't releasing a collectors edition for this game in the US.

Right now I'm hyped for Astral Chain and kinda can't wait for the Witcher on switch.

Also, I'm about to finish my first run of the original dark souls so I'm reeeeeally hoping dark souls 2 and 3 make their way to switch as well.

DOOM Eternal, Iceborn for MH World, Link's Awakening and the new From Software game which I forgot the name of.

The one I'm most excited for varies day by day.

Right now Control. I really like Remedy games and this has much of what I already like about them mixed with some design changes that are closer to what I like. It's the kind of game that even if it gets 6s in reviews I'll probably appreciate. Next is Astral Chain that I don't know exactly what to expect but I hope it surprised in a positive way. Same with Gears 5. 5 was OK but I'm expecting some surprises.

I have a TON of interest in dragon quest but I'm super afraid, just like Witcher actually, that I'll burn out on its length. Any insight?

I am really going through something here with the original dark souls though. My god I used to scoff when folks would say it was the best rpg ever... Or best game ever! I absolutely get that sentiment now. It very long as well but it sure doesn't drag like it in the way more cutscene heavy rpgs do.

I think there are a lot of exciting games in the pipeline.

Right now, Cyberpunk and Link's Awakening. But others like TLOU2, Age of Empires, Iron Harvest, etc are high on my list

@davillain-: ha! I thought I'd be busier when my kids were babies. Now that they've grown up and have interests all over the place I'm all over the map. It's wonderful and taxing at the same time. Still, I only get one chance to go through parenthood and I don't wanna mess it up.

The boys have played ps4 all summer. They finally ditched fortnite (thank God) and are back into minecraft, which I'm totally ok with. I, unfortunately haven't turned on the ps4 once... I'll get cyberpunk I'm sure, but yeah, I've been switch or bust for a few months now.

@TheEroica: Oh I totally understand as well. Even my daughter is all over the place for a preteen she is, I'm also busy with life and if it wasn't for my gaming PC, it be impossible for me to come into GS everyday, thank goodness for my PC. And I too haven't turn on my PS4 for weeks and I got PSVR not to long ago and will be playing it with No Man's Sky VR soon. But first, I must complete Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Age of Empires I guess, Microsoft seem to have been quietly nurturing the series back to health in recent years.

Prefer a surprise though, it's nice in this internet age of information where we get info long before most products hit.

Right now it's Age of Empires IV. We haven't seen a single screenshot or a video with gameplay. But I'm excited as hell to see it and play it. What setting will it be? What gameplay differences/improvements will it bring now that Relic is behind the project?

@TheEroica: dude, if you love Dark Souls then you gotta play Bloodborne. I've been good. Your absence has been noticed! As for Dragon Quest, I feel the same, but I think having it as a portable will help with the length and those traditional JRPG tropes of grinding.

@davillain-: I really love what Sean Murray was able to do with no man's sky. He went from being the industry punching bag to delivering an experience worth a big time investment. Kudos to him. I know some will say, "yeah he should've never released the game in the condition it was in" bla bla... But I bet he handles future game launches totally different. To our benefit. Nms VR is the only game that makes me want to try VR. I bet it's pretty cool.

I'm hesitant when it comes to the gameplay, as it appears to be a step back from SoR3 and SoR Remake, nonetheless this is still a new entry in my favorite franchise of all-time. I've also been waiting for a new game in this style just as long as I was with Sonic (1994), so I can't help but be excited, plus Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima are back to do the soundtrack, and are being joined by Yoko Shimomura, Hideki Naganuma, and Keiji Yamagishi as well.

@davillain-: yeah, there is a new Y's coming out and very soon in Japan, September 26, if development goes smooth. There is no plan of a Western release yet since Falcom is first concentrating on releasing it Japan first, but it should be getting it after it has released.
