I think that honestly depends upon how much you actually play. If you are a hard core gamer your not going to have one system. But supposing you only could have one 360 would probably be the choice. PS3 has a stellar lineup coming in 08 so I've got to mark that out.

Wii is not well geared for big time gamers. However it has enough big name titles that it proves entertaining if you play every once and a while like myself. So IMO it depends upon the type of player.

If were going with hard core gamers as a constant then Wii.

I went for the PS3...

In a year or two the 360 boys are gonna be lookn' for a new home though. That thing blew its load way too fast...

360. Cause I have a good pc and the Wii entertains my GF/guests more. 360 games just get too old too fast. I haven't played one more than 2 weeks. jangojay

I had a horrible gaming year with only that, finally getting PS3 at christmas..

WiS3= fun

I only own a Wii, I play it almost every day, and honestly, there are more good games than I can find time to play. I got Metroid Prime 3 more than a month ago, and haven't even taken it out of the box because I told myself I didn't want to start it until I finished Twilight Princess (which is extremely long). Besides Twilight Princess, I'm currently playing Zack and Wiki, Mercury Meltdown Revolution, Excitetruck (have it rented), and a bunch of different VC downloads. I want to finish Zelda soon because in the next couple weeks we're getting Mario Galaxy, MOHH2, Geom Wars, RE:UC, and several other games I might buy if reviews turn out good. Plus there are a bunch of other games I want to rent that I haven't played yet, like Super Paper Mario, Mario Strikers Chargedand Trauma Centre: 2nd opinion.

I could quit my job and play Wii full-time, and it would STILL take me quite a while to "catch up" on the backlog of games I haven't played yet.

Anyone who says the Wii doesn't have enough good games has no idea what they're talking about. Either that or they insist on gaming for 18 hours per day.

I'm a nintendo fan...and even I voted the wii. The first party games may still be amazing *y halo thar SMG* and there is the occasional great 3rd party game *ie. Zack and Wiki*....but there are simply too many droughts between the heavy hitters. Plus you won't be able to get the multiplats the ps3/360 is getting.

All I'm saying is you'll be miserable if you only own a wii....but it'll be alot more enjoyable if you own it with another system.

It compliments my 360 quite well.

Hands-down, the worst console to own by itself would be a Virtual Boy. For health reasons alone. All of the current generation sytems have at least two games that don't make you go into mind-numbing seizures, and that's really all you need. :D

Sorry, I was mostly trying to temper my non-related comment with some unfounded, heated opinion. Although I will say, for my own gaming tastes, the PS3 seems to be the least evolution in its own system line... that is, lots of cross-platform titles are also being released to the PS2, whereas the original Xbox and Gamecube are getting nothing. I'm sure that isn't the case across the board, but I would at this point be more tempted to shell out unjustifiably high amounts of money for a Wii or a 360.
