A system missing a game is worse. I'd rather play a flop than.....well, nothing.

I think a system not getting a game. Flop is based too loosely on the general audiences hype for a game, and it's no the developers fault if they don't meet it. Not bringing a game to one console is a choice made by developers or publishers etc

A flop is good for the "ownage", but missing out on a game is something that exists in your head while surfing SW's and while looking at your console and having nothing to play.

From my experience there is always something to play on every console... even during the drought I used my Wii a lot.

I own every system, so therefore I never see these "droughts" people often talk about.

I always feel like I'm in an oasis year round year after year. These fabled droughts are something I just don't experience either. I partially attribute that to my genre of preference.

Flop doesn't necessarily mean bad, just means didn't meet expectations. Having a game is better than not having one at all, imo. :)

... It's more like when a console does get a game and when a game does too good. This place was hell after FF13 and MGS4.

in sw, both count equally depending on what happens. but all in all exclusivity should win out, flops still sell software ex: halo wars

Well you do own most systems, right? Would a flop not be worse in this case as your going to be able to play a game on multiple systems anyway?

Well I own all three consoles so it does not affect me. But a system not getting a game would be worst than a flop for fanboys. Flops are games like Mass Effect, Fable 2, R&C: ToD, Empire: Total War all great games, and most are exclusive (Mass Effect is not on the PS3), and the fanboys of one system are missing out on them

EDIT:

a flop is worse, i would rather play a good game, and if one flops, then i will look to another.PS3Fanaddict

a Flop=/= bad game. Look at the games I listed. None of them are bad games. Most of them got an 8. That is not bad.

I have everything aside from a Wii and a gaming PC. I see your point though, it's a non-issue for manticores.

I honeslty have no problem with a game flopping. I just don't care about scores let alone scores on GS. So the second option for me although it isn't bad at all.
