What is you favorite moment in all of the video games you have played?

im bored of these lame topics on SW, so I thought i would change it up a little bit.

My favorite moment in all the games i have played is wheni got my first taste of next gen, i picked up my ps3 and resistance and my jaw was dropped for like the first 20 min i played. and then when you can slow time with the sniper rifle and blow there heads off in slow-mo. and when you throw a spiked gernade at an enemy and you pin them to the wall. haha good times.

how bout you?

Uhh... I guess mine would be the first time I got to jump around a corner and saw a locust in half on Gears of war.

my favourite moment in all of the video games i have ever played is the first time i played a video game. My dad bought me SNES way back in 1994. It came with a game called 'stanley cup 93'. its quite possibly the crappiest sport game ever. BUT DAMN GUYS, when i first turned that system on and got that game fired up, I knew i was as close to gaming heaven as i could possibly be!

1. The first time I stopped Blanka's rolling ball with a shoryuken.

2. Metal Gear Solid 2 last scene when Raiden speaks with Solidus and the Colonel was the most epic scene ever.

3. The opera scene in FFVI was great too.

When I pulled the Master Sword out in OOT and realized that this wasn't the end of the game - I wasn't even halfway. Also, fighting Ganon for the first time is right up there. I still haven't versed a boss that epic since.

Many over the years, but more recent was the scene in God of War 2 when you slam the door against the guys head like 20 times.

I laughed thru the whole scene and had to stop playing for a minute to compose myself.

I would best of all would be:

Last piece of gameplay in Halo: CE.... riding out of there with the countdown had my heart pumping or edge of the seat etc....it was wicked and I did it on Co-op so we died many times I switched one driving sometimes and one shooting....

Was so wicked!

Also... fighting the big metal gear in MGS3 and getting chased around on the back of the bike while she drove was AMAZING! Was like literally playing a movie and being in the movie with the two different shots of Snake's shooting or the cutscene like footage you can switch between at anytime. Amazing.

Half-Life2: Fighting those striders all around the city was wicked too. Too many moments to write down really But Halo's was my number one

I built a ship from a dock in Age of Empires and I looked at it in wonder for a bit. Then I saw an enemy ship coming up the river and my ship fought his ship and burned then sank. Those moments as I watched was when the studden realization of the possibilities in video games opened up on me like a sentinet cave creature seeing the Dawn for the first time. Nothing has ever matched it.

Playing a Conker: Live & Reloaded demo, and it looked so good that when the opening cutscene was over, I didn't know it.

Oh, yeah, playing Super Mario 64, my first console game, and finding out that I would be able to go around and explore different worlds. Hey, I was 6.

Beating Jordan on Expert in Guitar Hero II. Yes, I've let the game suck me in long enough, and though people may call it casual because of its appeal, the highest difficulty (again, Expert) can get hardcore until you learn it. Buckethead can make some awesome guitar solos.

Well, I once won a local tourney of X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Either that or the time when I finished Gradius III at the Arcades, since it was legendary cheap.

I think it's the beginning sequence of Devil May Cry 3. I dunno, it was just so badass. Even the title screen had a cool lead-in. I have a terrible memory for games though, so I'm sure it's really something else.

me and a group of random players were ontop of a plateu in PDZ in an infection match. The infected were coming from all sides trying to take us out. I had a dragon assault rifle and was zooming in getting headshots, defending the hill with my team. One by one my team got killed until I ran out of ammo after bout a half hour. I pulled out my pistol and me and 3 other people got swarmed by infected. I must have got about 70 kills that round.

Playing the final level in Rez, with life slowly evolving around you in digital form, along with the brilliant music.

Everything about the last colossus in Shadow of the Colossus. Utterly atmospheric.

The end sequences of MGS2.

Many, many scenes in killer7.

Finally encountering Giygas at the end of Earthbound.

The scene on the floating island in FF6. Just watching it made me so furious, and acctually made me loathe Kefka. I've never felt so much emotion while playing a videogame in my life.

At the end of Shaq - Fu when i made it to the charity basketball game i cried. yeah i cried.

No seriously probably beating the first Super Mario or MIKE TYSONS(not Mr. Dream or whatever) Punchout. So many hours lost to both of those games as a kid, and it was so worth it. More recently, the first goal i scored in Winning Eleven 6, was like the best moment in my life because after winning Fifa Games 13 to nothing and then going to Winning Eleven its such adifferent experience. So after getting shutout like my first three games that first goal was magic, i must have watched the replay a million times.

that dog coming thru the window did scare the hell out of me.

You guys stole mines!!! I have always considered the moment the dog jumped through the window in the original Resident Evil and then scared the crap out of me one of my favorite moments in gaming.

Honorable Mentions:

1) T-REX scene in the original Tomb Raider

2) First time I played Shenmue on Dreamcast, no game has ever amazed me that much, not even the best of this current gen (i.e. Gears, GRAW 2, Motorstorm, etc.). I would just stop and look around and stare at everything.

3) Reaching Bowser for the first time in Mario 64. Seeing him in full 3D was awesome.

4) The scene from FF7 when Sepiroth impaled Aerith.

5) Finding the star world in Super Mario World.

6) My first encounter with the then taboo Mortal Kombat in the back of some dark ghetto bodega.

7) Seeing Sonic the Hedgehog in action for the first time. Damn, he was fast!
