What is your favorite E3 moment?

Mine would be E3 2013 when Sony announced you can play used games on PS4. I remember when the crowd went nuts after that. It was a huge blow to MS. Another favorite of mine is when Sony announced Shenmue III and Final Fantasy 7 remake during E3 2015.. What about you, SW?

Mine was when they showed Shadow Of The Collossus remake.

Half-Life 2 reveal and tech demo from E3 2003. That blew me away back then and nothing has ever impressed me like that since.

As much as I like and use my X1, recent memory suggests Phil Whatshisname being boo'd at E3 '13.

@Renegade_Fury: Half-Life 2 owned E3 2003 and it wasn't even featured in a major press conference, but had private showings. Also, the Halo 2 demo was fake and just bullshit to hype up Halo fanboys.

@BassMan: I know it was fake, but it was still epic; just listen to the crowd. I was talking about e3 a few weeks back with my little bro, and we immediately started remembering that day and how nothing will ever top that moment.

@Renegade_Fury: It represents what is wrong with E3 though. Bullshit spectacles to fool gamers. Similar to Sony's fake Killzone 2 and Motorstorm reveals.

There's a few that come to mind, like Halo 3's reveal in 2006.

But most recently, the XB1 BC announcement in 2015 was pretty cool.

It is possible to get hyped for more than one game btw, because I was on board the HL2 hype train back then too.

Yes, you should enjoy all games that interest you. I still like Halo 2 to this day as well. I am just saying that I don't appreciate the bullshit and dishonesty on display at these shows.

All of the gameplay elements like dual wielding and hijacking vehicles are in Halo 2 though. The level itself isn't, but I never felt as if I was being lied to like with a CGI trailer.

Lesser lie, but still lying. It worked great as Halo 2 hype was insane. I remember I worked at EB Games back then and when Halo 2 came out we had the midnight launch. I wasn't working that shift, but I bypassed the huge line that people were waiting all day in and got the first copy of the game and then walked out before the store opened. Now that is a great Halo related moment. LOL :)

Ps3 price reveal and the mass media blow up it caused

Killzone presentations has always been stellar.

The fake Zelda demo on the Game Cube.

The fake robot demo for the original Xbox with butch looking chick.

I don't really have a favorite moment but I really enjoyed watching E3 2005 here on Gamespot back in the day that E3 had some of my favorite games of all time. I remember watching the E3 GS stage demo of F.E.A.R. I remember being blown away from it. It's a shame that video doesn't work anymore man I wish there was a way to bring back some of these old videos on GS.

Shenmue 3 announcement is hard to beat.

I like Halo 2 reveal/gameplay at E3 2003! When I first saw the Demo, I was freaking blown away what the Xbox can do before I got into PC gaming! It was the best moments when Bungie were at there primes, the crowd went nuts on Halo 2 showing off duel-wielding for the first time was mind blowing, I was all in tears!!! And that was the real reason to be excited for E3. (But now, the social media just ruins the fun & surprises)

When I tore my little brother's PS4 :D

Got to be the GTA on Xbox from what I can remember and stands out.

I've been re-watching some older E3 shows and the Dreamcast reveal was up there with anything. Looked and was a brilliant system way ahead of its time.
