In my opinion is EGO game engine from codemasters.
Because they used this engine for Race Driver Grid, Dirt 1 and 2, and also Operation Flashpoint.

I like the look of 4A engine the most used by metro 2033. i also like Capcom's MTFramework engine, it can pump out some pretty good graphics at really great performance levels. Also the newer versions of Source are pretty nice as well and that is a very well enduring engine with strong physics capabilities.
Whatever Uncharted 2 is working. That game looks incredible for 2005 hardware. Same goes for GT5 and KZ3. I'll second the Capcom remark, as well.
[QUOTE="ocstew"][QUOTE="tomarlyn"]Farcry 2 enginetomarlynDunia or Cryengine 1.5? Is Dunia running on the console versions? Because thats the one I mean, I think its amazing what was achieved with limited resources. Both PC and console versions run on Dunia. Im not sure what he is talking about with Cryengine 1.5 :?

Ok I was confused also, maybe he thinks I meant Farcry Predator, I dunno.
I don't really have a favorite engine but I can tell you which engine I despise the most, the Unreal Engine 3. The Unreal Engine is ugly, buggy as hell and overall utter crap. I generally tend to avoid games that run on that piece of garbage engine apart from games like Mirror's Edge, Borderlands and ME2.
Cryengine for amazing graphics, physics and realistic game worlds.
Source because it changed everything, and despite being 6 years old still looks better than console games.
I really was impressed with Just Cause 2's Avalanche 2.0 game engine. That game engine produced a incredible draw distance, with crisp textures, and great lighting. The game engine that Crystal Dynamics used in Tomb Raider Underworld was pretty slick also. As far as muliplayer games online, I preferBattlefields Frostbite engine, with the ability to destroy the environments and such.
Yeah, MT Framework is very crisp, although it didn't really impress me with Lost Planet 2. The rest of the titles like RE5 and Street Fighter 4 looked awesome.MT Framework and Minecraft. Two completely different engines... both look astounding.

Source and id Tech 5 looks great aswell.
I'm not a big fan of Unreal Engine 3 I just can't stand that most games are using it and in most cases those games look terrible IMO. It is mainly the developers choice to make everything look like it is made out of plastic and the characters are usually too bulky and I can't stand that look.
