Ravenholm. We don't go. We just don't go.
Also, some of the gameplay scenarios and custom levels in Crysis.
I know it's cliche, but when Aeris died in FFVII and I had to fight Jenova with that crushing music playing... it broke me.LightReflectionThat was definately a shocker, I replayed that part so many times. Also in Mass Effect when you talk a certain character into shooting themselves in the head.
I've got several...
Playing River Raid on the Atari 2600 and thinking games just can't get any better.
Stumbling across a space invaders coin-op when I was 10 and loosing all my pocket money, it was the start of a slippery slope.
Playing Tomb Raider for the first time on the PS1 and being gob-smacked at the realistic 3d graphics.
Playing half life and being gob smacked again by the whole game.
Putting 20+ hours in to FFVII on PS1 then thinking I would never play a video game for that long again.
Contradicting myself by discovering MMO's in 2001 and having them become my main game type on pc. resulting in me becoming a slave to WoW in 2005.
I could go on lol.

I was completely unimpressed by that bit. I just thought, "Oh, here's a blue option, I'll go with that." Next thing you know you have just initiated one of the most ridiculous optional plot points ever. I mean seriously? A couple of words followed by, "Yeah, your probably right" *BANG*. What was up with that? It wasn't really epic or cool, it was just akwardly executed.
The "Super" Gravity Gun in Half-Life 2, realising that you could pick up Combine forces by the feet and fire them into the dark abyss below.

A better moment is when you get Shepard to punch the annoying reporter.Hmmm , now that's a hard one.
I'll go for the ending of Panzer Dragoon Saga
no .. the gaming moment that will live with me for all time is sitting watching a spectrum 48k loading up a game
Irve
But but but you think Panzer Dragoon Saga is the best game of all time!!

That for some reason didn't leave that big of an impression on me. I don't know why. Two of my most memorable moments that I can think of now are in the same game though. The motorcycle video, and when you cross the marsh and see the giant snake impaled on a pike.
For me... let me take you back in time back to the early 80's. I dont know if anyone remembers the old SkyCity stores or not. Nintendo (NES) had just been launched here in the US and I remember walking by in the electronics section and behind the counter was an NES with Super Mario Bros. running in the background. That was my first time other than intellevision or Atari seeing what would be the start of video game consoles and games.
Eventually I got the Nintendo Entertainment Systen - Entertaiment Pack, which included Super Mario bros. and duck hunt and came with the orange zapper.
One of my most memorable gaming moments was getting on a SEGA R-360 Arcade cabinet. It was a mind-bending experience.
Unfortunately when you are young you don't really appreciate many things, and I was very foolish to not have used the cabinet much because it cost several coins per playthrough. Now I wish I had spent more time with it, but I probably will never see the cabinet again...

That's what she said
I think mine would be going to the most calm place in any video game and thats the Lake Hylia's fishing hole. I use to spend hours just fishing there with the rumble pack controller. I use to love that place so much.
Edit: For the 2 people who don't know what game I am talking about Zelda:Oot.
The ending of Shadow of the Colossus will probably stay with me until I die.foxhound_foxThis is my most memorable moment too. And pulling the trigger at the end of MGS3.
