lets analyze assassins creed for example.....looks darn good on both systems. but can someone truely show me a difference on what makes one superior to the other....

Achievements. They automatically give the 360 an advantage. That goes for all multi-plats.dracula_16
That and the 360 gamepad. Though i'm only talking my preference here. Most other small details(better colour, or sound quality) i wouldn't be able to notice with my crappy setup. So, as long as framerate and load times aren't severe on one version, i would generally choose the 360 multiplat.. Not that it matters much for me yet, as i wont have a ps3 for a little while.
Oh, forgot to mention i also like the green cases over the ps3 cases; they are spiffy :)
well as far as blu ray goes both games can be played in 1080p so how can that be an advantage.
the achievement scale yes i believe that is a nice addition to any game as it adds competitiveness and a sense of accomplishment and added replay value.
people who say blu ray please specify.
im also pretty comfortable with either controller, been playing playstaiton a little longer that the 360 so either are like putty

people who say blu ray please specify. i dont have a ps3 but i will eventually. blue ray is good for hd dvd movies and more space for devs to use than dvd or hd dvd when making games. even though devs can just give xbox please fix me users 5 discs instead of one blue ray (i dont really know how much more blue ray holds but i know its alot more than a dvd or hdvd)

Indeed Blu-ray has nothing to do with what resolution the game runs at! Take Crysis for example, it can run at resolutions beyond 1080p (assuming you have a ninja PC) but oh wait.....It all fits on one DVD!
Ok so this is PS3 VS 360 but like PC's the 360 also uses DVD9. Blu-ray stops the devs worrying about how to fit all the data to one disc because blue-ray can store 50Gb. However graphics are determined by the hardware not by the media they are stored on. Now I own a PC a 360 and a Wii, I have nothing against the PS3 so don't flame me. Indeed my friend showed me his, I was impressed, but the only reason the PS3 has blu-ray is so that Sony can try and win the HD movie format war.

agreed, they are using their system like they used the ps2 to flood the marked with dvd players.
also to those who dont understand what hi def is, it is a marketing tool, nothing more. resolution does nothing more than make your screensize bigger (viewable area) and sharpen the pictures quality.
hi definition has nothing to do with game textures, physics or anything other than sharpness and screensize.
if a game has awesome textures, graphics, physics and sound, its because of the code in the game, and the hardware reading the code, it has nothing to do with resolution.
i see all kinds of posts on this board talking about "HIGH DEFINITON GRAPHICS" which i find extremely funny. HIGH DEFINITION is a term that should only be used for tvs and monitors. but somehow its bled its way into the gaming industry to try to imply that 1080p is going to produce shaders and textures that look better than 720p.
if it looks like crap at 720p its still going to look like crap at 1080p.
(also if your not using a wide screen monitor dont use any resolution above 720p.....it will make your graphics and movies look skinny and weird)
It comes down to a few things.
Xbox: right now has more games, and a better online service, if you want to pay.
Playstation 3: has better hardware (way better hardware) and free online gaming, although not as good as live, but it's free.
Really, it comes down to which games you want to play more, and don't let any fanboy tell you otherwise.
xbox360 games has better grafics, multiplayer and extra content!!PAL360
come on... it's system wars, not Just-shout-anything-you-want-wars...

It's fine as long as no one believes him. And no one believes him before he knows how to spell graphics.
