Seriously speaking, it's got an interesting universe. That's what makes it a step above other shooters for me. I think multiplayer in general is overrated.

actually yeah yeah it did. HL2 has a built in recorder, has multiplayer and has a map editor way more advanced than anything forge could even hope to do.

so please learn history.

about halo. the first game is undeniably good. nothing innovative as people think or outstanding but its a solid FPS with an interesting universe. the second was atrocious aside from the multiplayer (which means jacksh*t considering if you want to consider multiplayer theres plenty more multiplayer games that rape it) horrible level design, the story completely changed directions, uninspired set designs, too brief, and other problems. it wasnt a good FPS by any standard. halo 3 brought it back kinda to its roots and was yet again a solid good FPS nothing outstanding but still above average.

It's a solid shooter in its own respects, but it is no where near the best.

Well apparently your not a PC gamer and you love your HD graphics. Halo Combat Evolved is better than Halo 3, even if it is Halo. I think that Halo CE is the single best FPS ever made, but not Halo 3.

Many people disagree with that and I respect their opinions as much as they should respect mine.

There are many others that are better than Halo 3 though. I had more fun with F.E.A.R., STALKER, Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2, Crysis, Unreal Tounry 2k4, and Call of Duty than I had with Halo 3.

Halo 3 may have more options than those games, but thats because it was the 3rd in a series and the focus was shifted off of the single player experiance and started on all of the features they could add.
