Don't get me wrong I love some like Resident Evil 4, God of War, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Half-Life and so on, but what I'm tired of is all the dull WWII games, and a new thug game every week.These games seem so lifeless and pointless.
Sounds like your problem is with re-hashes and not mature games. I enjoy mature games for the same reason I enjoy watching Aliens instead of Snow White.

What makes you think everyone wants to express themselves with blood, violence and sexual themes?
Mature games often attract me, mostly for gameplay and story. For example, with story, well, it's something more interesting than a super happy fun story, hence why people like Scorsese and Kubrick are famous directors.... As for gameplay, it's just satisfying, I enjoy Mario games too and stuff like that, but there's just a feel to games like GTA and stuff like that. Maybe it's just nature, visual stimuli or something, "ZOMG BLOOD!" *Eyes are attracted*. It's interesting to be bad, to kill, etc. To see others be killed, without dealing with morals. I guess you could say, violent movies are very popular, perhaps people would rather see it simulated, instead of it really happening? I'd rather play a war game, then be in a war, I'd rather watch the Platoon then watch a real war. It's human nature probably, the bad parts of life fascinate us, but the consequences aren't nice, at all. So we stoop to a fictional land, where violence is nothing more than artistic expression, rather than real life...
