With the new E3 rules in place to make things more professional instead of being "all show", I seriously doubt Sony or Nintendo will do any better.

They'll still be enjoyable watching for information and announcements, but thats about it hehe.

I'm thinking Sony and Nintendo might actually introduce some new games. Sony and Nintendo also don't have Peter Moore, which can only help them.

There's a difference. Sony has everything on the line here so it is to be expected for them to have an amazing showing. Nintendo on the other hand, I have no idea what they'll show other than Mario, SSBB and Metroid. New IP's? DS domination? Tomorrow can't come any closer.

ill bet you money, that Nintendo and sony has a better showing. Nintendo and sony wanna give people reasons for owning there console. microsoft just think they have the race in the bag, cause there in the lead. for som reason they think halo alone could beat out both Nintendo and sony.

I'm honestly only betting on Sony to show something. Nintendo press conferences were generally pretty boring over the last couple of years. And I'm not even sure if Sony has anything new to show for.

This E3 is boring heh. Last year's was awesome.

MS show was a flop, Sony has tons of new IP's coming and has the potential to show a crap load of new content of upcoming games, and Nintendo's show I am considering not even watching, cause of the bordom that is Reggie blabing about Wii and DS sales, and how pokemon is leading the charts .... = snore fest. Ill just download Nintendo's confrence later, and that way I can skip all the BS parts, and get to the good stuff.

1) e3 hasn't even started technically.

2) Last year's e3 had two consoles that had yet to be released, a lot more hype going into it because of that.

3) Nintendo has had by far their best e3 conferences the last two years with the Wii and all.

More exclusives and better ones at that. This is just my opinion of course.

Then there's Home, the price drop, new model...

As far as Nintendo goes, I saw it all the Gamecube. Now there's a controller which is fun for minigames, but weak on traditional games. All in all, I'm not at all impressed with anything Nintendo has done so far, so I can't imagine E3 is going to show much of anything for them. I think Microsoft's showing will probably end up being better and it was definitely lacking. Some great looking games there, but not many of them and they showed a whole lot of multi-plats.

This confrence was pretty dull, i mean it had it's good moments but overall nothing really new was revealed. It shouldn't be too hard to have a better confrence than this.

Just because Microsuck had a bad conference doesn't mean that the superior companies will be drug down by it. Sony is still king and Nintendo will make babies smile world wide. Of this I'm certain.

yeah, cows ready to say bad things about what nintendo wii show, but lets not forget about sony e3 last year, shall we? ridge racer HDDD, giant enemy crabs  Nintendo is always known for having a great showing, no matter how you put it. I think Nintendo is more likely to pull out a surprise, something one would lease expect, then again there also the type to disappoint.

sony? i cant recall a E3 from sony, that ever went well.

Wow, you don't think that they will?  Everything that MS showed, we already new.  I mean come on--why waste time showing GTA4--everyone already saw it.  They showed nothing new and exciting.  Now new IPs, no person playing Halo, no Banjo, no nothing!  I was more impressed with the 360 proir to the show--now that I have seen it--I am actually less impressed.  Most of the great showings like RE5 (which was way too short and too much of a tease, curse you Capcom), COD4, and Assassins Creed will all be on the PS3.
Then look at Sony--they already claimed to have at least a few new IPs to show.  MGS4--nuff said, Home, LBP, FFXIII, Haze, Killzone, etc.
The big N should have many new IPs as third parties are going to start making more games for the Wii.
Bottom line--MS snoozefest!  There great surprise was that console version of a board game!  I don't even remember the name of it!  COME ON A FRIGGIN BOARD GAME!!  They really let me down with their showing.  I was thinking of picking up a 360 if the 65nm chips fix their reliability problems--now I don't really have much interest.  Maybe in 2008, maybe.

Becuase for both of them to be as bad as MS tonight they would have to Make there PR people look like total jackasses announce games know one cares about example Viva pinata: Im a mini game pile of grabage desinged to milk the franchise. Show trailer after trailer og games we already know are coming to the system and TOTALLY FLOP in rock band hopefully Kaz Hirai will be a better guitarist then peter moore. I think sony and Nintendo have some good stuff up there sleeves for tommorow.

All they need to do is actually announce some new games. MS showed us nothing new at all.

The next Team ICO game or God of War 3 would be enough.

I think comparing confrences in the first place is stupid. You might as well be comparing favorite colors, you are going to like the one that you like. In response though, how do you know M$ did a better job when we haven't even seen the competition?

Sony will do well and have surprises. Nintendo will flop like usual with no surprises and more disappointments.

it's always easy to pick on the first presenter. At least Microsoft went first and got it over with. I never expected this E3 to be as big as past ones anyways, so I pretty much got what I expected. My only disappointment was no Banjo Kazooie news or anything from Rare.

MS conference wasn't the megaton we all seemed to be hoping for, but it wasn't necessarily bad either. I think if the PS3 can survive E3 06, then the 360 shouldn't have trouble overcoming a lackluster E3 either.

Wow, this is going to be E3 05 all over again

Where people believe Sony's smoke and mirrors and CGI Trailers of games that don't even have a set release date.

MS's confrence was not suprising but they did what they wanted to with it, and that was to reinforce that 07s best games will be on the 360.

Now if you want to keep on believing and screaming "potential" from Sony for another year, then your more crazy then I thought.

Enjoy your CGI Trailers, 30 FPS sports games this year, and other hand me down ports.

I agree about Nintendo, its going to just run people like Reggie and Miyamoto out their pumping their chests talking about how the Wii sales are great, how they've tapped the female market and how core gamers can go rot in hell.

But I don't think Sony will have any trouble at all topping MS.MS has good games lined up but they didn't announce anything big. It's all the line for Sony, they have to deliver and they will.

I think this is going to be the reason why Nintendo will have a solid showing. MS and Sony have been announcing and hyping their games all year long. It wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo had some hidden surprises to show off. As a matter of fact, wasn't one of those the revival of a long dead franchise? That should be interesting info. We'll find out more tomorrow.

You must've missed Nintendo's memo that the core gamer doesn't mean a thing to them. They said as much last E3, their press conference last year before the Wii launch, at GDC, in any interview one of their execs has in a mag. They've said it more times than I care to count.

I've been patient with them for a long time now. I was there when the NES and SNES were dominating and stuck with Nintendo through the dark days of N64 and Gamecube, now all the sudden people like me don't matter anymore to them and it's a little annoying. I'm sick of all the party games, mini-games, games for women, etc. I'd be totally fine with it if I thought there was some balance, but there isn't. It's the big 3 and nothing else and I doubt this E3 will make me change my mind about them.

That is really what they'll probably show. Last meeting Reggie said they are going after the casuals more agressively than ever. I noticed EA hasn't made one single mature game for Wii with the exception of the Godfather port. All of the rest of their games are kids games. That isn't the support I had in mind

That is really what they'll probably show. Last meeting Reggie said they are going after the casuals more agressively than ever. I noticed EA hasn't made one single mature game for Wii with the exception of the Godfather port. All of the rest of their games are kids games. That isn't the support I had in mind

So things like madden and NHL are now "for kids"?

Speaking of EA, I'm sure they'll have a big demo of EA Playground all set up for tomorrow's Nintendo show. Should be great.

I guarentee Nintendo would never do that.

You must'vemissed Nintendo's memo that the core gamer doesn't mean a thing to them. They said as much last E3, their press conference last year before the Wii launch, at GDC, in any interview one of their execs has in a mag. They've said it more times than I care to count.

I know I'm not in this conversation, but you must have missed that part of GDC where it isn't E3!!! Everyone has this misconception that GDC is suppose to be this big press release, but it isn't. You shouldn't expect big announcements from there, don't. Besides, what big announcemnts were there between E3 06 and 05? At 05, we didn't know it was going to be called Wii, we didn't know the remote, we didn't know about connect 24, the motion sensor, there was no live showing of Wii sports, no footage of Metroid Prime 3, and obviously nothing playable of the "Revolution". You can be a fanboy and blatently overlook things, but it only makes you look dumber, so go right on ahead.

Obviously not, but Madden hasn't been good since Madden 2004.
