With the new E3 rules in place to make things more professional instead of being "all show", I seriously doubt Sony or Nintendo will do any better.
They'll still be enjoyable watching for information and announcements, but thats about it hehe.

I'm honestly only betting on Sony to show something. Nintendo press conferences were generally pretty boring over the last couple of years. And I'm not even sure if Sony has anything new to show for.
This E3 is boring heh. Last year's was awesome.

1) e3 hasn't even started technically.
2) Last year's e3 had two consoles that had yet to be released, a lot more hype going into it because of that.
3) Nintendo has had by far their best e3 conferences the last two years with the Wii and all.
With the new E3 rules in place to make things more professional instead of being "all show", I seriously doubt Sony or Nintendo will do any better.

All they need to do is actually announce some new games. MS showed us nothing new at all.
The next Team ICO game or God of War 3 would be enough.
Sony will do well and have surprises. Nintendo will flop like usual with no surprises and more disappointments.
it's always easy to pick on the first presenter. At least Microsoft went first and got it over with. I never expected this E3 to be as big as past ones anyways, so I pretty much got what I expected. My only disappointment was no Banjo Kazooie news or anything from Rare.

Wow, this is going to be E3 05 all over again
Where people believe Sony's smoke and mirrors and CGI Trailers of games that don't even have a set release date.
MS's confrence was not suprising but they did what they wanted to with it, and that was to reinforce that 07s best games will be on the 360.
Now if you want to keep on believing and screaming "potential" from Sony for another year, then your more crazy then I thought.
Enjoy your CGI Trailers, 30 FPS sports games this year, and other hand me down ports.
i almost shut it off when that band starting playing .... after watching the whole thing i wish i woulda!!!With the new E3 rules in place to make things more professional instead of being "all show", I seriously doubt Sony or Nintendo will do any better.

I agree about Nintendo, its going to just run people like Reggie and Miyamoto out their pumping their chests talking about how the Wii sales are great, how they've tapped the female market and how core gamers can go rot in hell.
But I don't think Sony will have any trouble at all topping MS.MS has good games lined up but they didn't announce anything big. It's all the line for Sony, they have to deliver and they will.
I have high expectations for Nintendo's, they havent announced much anything since launch.
hiho24
I think this is going to be the reason why Nintendo will have a solid showing. MS and Sony have been announcing and hyping their games all year long. It wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo had some hidden surprises to show off. As a matter of fact, wasn't one of those the revival of a long dead franchise? That should be interesting info. We'll find out more tomorrow.
Sony and Ninty might actually show new stuff... and ninty is all about the games, so I know we'll see much mroe stage demos there than we did with MS.kittykatz5k
Yeah all about the games. I can't wait for demos of Wii Play2, Cooking Mama 2 and especially the Wii version of Nintendogs. I'm eaglerly awaiting this press conference.

I guarentee Nintendo would never do that.

Was it Nintendo? Wait... no?! Oh, it was MS. So I see.

He's right though. What do they have for the gamer besides the big 3? I'll tell you... Nothing.

I all ready gave me thoughts on MS' awesome press conference in the official thread for that and they weren't exactly glowing remarks so you're not proving anything to me. I'm just saying what I think Nintendo will do. Honestly the sales wouldn't bother me so much if they weren't to the wrong people.

That's because they haven't presented at E3 yet... god people have a bit of patience.

You must've missed Nintendo's memo that the core gamer doesn't mean a thing to them. They said as much last E3, their press conference last year before the Wii launch, at GDC, in any interview one of their execs has in a mag. They've said it more times than I care to count.

It isn;t the show that matters, its what the show is about. Ms showed us nothing. End of story. And what makes me think Niontendo or Sony could do better? Sega could have done better.

I've been patient with them for a long time now. I was there when the NES and SNES were dominating and stuck with Nintendo through the dark days of N64 and Gamecube, now all the sudden people like me don't matter anymore to them and it's a little annoying. I'm sick of all the party games, mini-games, games for women, etc. I'd be totally fine with it if I thought there was some balance, but there isn't. It's the big 3 and nothing else and I doubt this E3 will make me change my mind about them.

That is really what they'll probably show. Last meeting Reggie said they are going after the casuals more agressively than ever. I noticed EA hasn't made one single mature game for Wii with the exception of the Godfather port. All of the rest of their games are kids games. That isn't the support I had in mind

Speaking of EA, I'm sure they'll have a big demo of EA Playground all set up for tomorrow's Nintendo show. Should be great.

I know I'm not in this conversation, but you must have missed that part of GDC where it isn't E3!!! Everyone has this misconception that GDC is suppose to be this big press release, but it isn't. You shouldn't expect big announcements from there, don't. Besides, what big announcemnts were there between E3 06 and 05? At 05, we didn't know it was going to be called Wii, we didn't know the remote, we didn't know about connect 24, the motion sensor, there was no live showing of Wii sports, no footage of Metroid Prime 3, and obviously nothing playable of the "Revolution". You can be a fanboy and blatently overlook things, but it only makes you look dumber, so go right on ahead.[QUOTE="PhoebusFlows"][QUOTE="Gamer46"][QUOTE="kittykatz5k"]Sony and Ninty might actually show new stuff... and ninty is all about the games, so I know we'll see much mroe stage demos there than we did with MS.kittykatz5k

Obviously not, but Madden hasn't been good since Madden 2004.
