What Microsoft Should Do with the 360's price

So, Microsoft has three versions of the Xbox 360: core, premium, and elite.  The 360 has been out for a year but not a price drop yet.  That should change, and here's how it should happen:

Microsoft should drop the elite down to four hundred dollars.  Then the premium should go down to three hundred.  Then to compete with the Wii they could drop the core down to either 250 or 200.

I honestly think MS is waiting until Sony drops their price to drop theirs - steal their thunder.

 Edit: Of course, eventually they may need to take a more proactive stance based on the Wii's popularity.

They are making money per console so they have no reason to lower it yet.  Once Sony drops their price or they get in a bind they will lower it but no sooner than they need to.justforlotr2004

It could possibly steal some of the Wii's potential buyers if some were going to buy the console with the cheapest price.

Speaking of Halo 3 and business moves, it would be rather smart to include a 360/Halo 3 bundle sometime on or after the game's release.

Here is a list of info. that is how much they each make per console (sorry can't remeber the site name :( )

Wii = $50

360=-$150 to -$130

Ps3=-$200 to -$150

Ms probably already has talked a long time about this and already has a plan of action. I would assume it would be soon.

Knowing Microsoft, if they did have a bundle it would probably only be with the core 360.

Knowing Microsoft, if they did have a bundle it would probably only be with the core 360.

Their marketing isn't good, but it really isn't atrocious either.  They were smart enough to put a Blue Dragon bundle out in Japan, so that tells us they aren't complete idiots.
