To be honest, a lot of the games I play on the Wii aren't multiplats. I have about 40 games for the Wii and only a few of those are multiplats. So I can't really remember the last multiplat I've played. Maybe Goldeneye 007? Since that's being released on other platforms.
I don't know if I count as a "wii only" gamer though, since I have a 3DS too.
I hardly ever use my laptop for gaming. Sid Mieir's Pirates! is the last game I played on the PC, so I don't consider myself a PC gamer at all :P
I don't think anyone can have gone this entire generation with ONLY the Wii as a gaming system. You have to have owned something else as well, maybe one of the HD twins, maybe a PC, maybe the DS, but you can't have gone this generation with just the Wii.charizard1605Oh, i'm sure some people do it. You can be a gamer and not buy a new game every single month. I'm sure Super Smash Brothers Brawl alone could last some people months. And there's also the virtual console.
Oh, i'm sure some people do it. You can be a gamer and not buy a new game every single month. I'm sure Super Smash Brothers Brawl alone could last some people months. And there's also the virtual console. Well okay, yeah, maybe more 'casual' owners of the system (note that I use the term not according to its definition as understood here on System Wars, but according to the time that one might allot to gaming per day or week) could do with just a Wii, and not miss the other systems (although even then, they probably own a 360 for Call of Duty and Madden), but no person who games with any frequency or regularity can have gone this entire generation with just the Wii. I might be wrong though.[QUOTE="charizard1605"]I don't think anyone can have gone this entire generation with ONLY the Wii as a gaming system. I'm not a Wii only gamer but I'll be playing MW3 on the Wii just as I did the 3 CoD's before it. I own a handful of other multiplats for it.OreoMilkshakeWell at least it'll sell one copy on Wii.
Well at least it'll sell one copy on Wii. Actually Call of Duty sell well on Wii. Not as good as PC, 360, or PS3, or course, but still a million or so for each entry. Obviously enough to keep porting them.[QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]I'm not a Wii only gamer but I'll be playing MW3 on the Wii just as I did the 3 CoD's before it. Plus Nintendo's output on the Wii isn't prolific enough, is it? I mean, assuming we disregard all the Wii games (except for maybe the Wii Sports games), I don't think Nintendo games alone can have tided Nintendo fans over. In any case, even the most hardcore Nintendo fans have to have owned a DS, like I said.vashkey
I have all three consoles, but I play Black Ops, Rockband 3, Force Unleashed 2, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, and NBA 2K12 on my Wii regularly

Personally, I think the Wii line up is about as strong as the Gamecube's. I knew people who loved that. The Gamecube had some pretty bleak times too. If Nintendo fans could go through that I think the Wii really isn't that much of a problem.
I think theres enough to really hold someone over if they really want to make it work. But yeah, an open minded gamer who wants to try alot of games more frequently, I can defintely see them being disapointed with the Wii.

Lol, I disagree with the idea that the Wii's first party lineup is as strong as the Gamecube's :P The Gamecube was Nintendo at its finest. The Wii, barring the Mario trifecta, Brawl and maybe Skyward Sword, is Nintendo at its worst on the software front. But that's another discussion. But yes, like you said, any open minded gamer who plays for more than an hour a day will probably not be satisfied with just a Wii.[QUOTE="vashkey"] Nintendo fanboys. See, I think its all depending on your preferences for Nintendo's first party. Personally the gamecube didn't do it for me because Im not a big pikmin fan and the controls for the prime's killed it for me.
This gen I have:
That would hold me over for an entire gen, and its only 34% of my Wii library :P

I see your point, but I loved the Gamecube, which gave me: Metroid Prime Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Super Mario Sunshine Star Fox Adventures Star Fox Assault F-Zero GX Pikmin Pikmin 2 Mario Kart Double Dash Super Smash Bros. Melee The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Animal Crossing Luigi's Mansion Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Geist Pokemon Colosseum Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness And I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting quite a few here.[QUOTE="vashkey"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] Possibly, but even they probably own a DS, and play games on the DS. I think a lot of people would disagree. SNES and N64 had alot more fan favorites than the Gamecube.
I think in terms of what Nintendo personally delivered they've done better than the Gamecube except for The Metroid games(which have still been good) and no F-Zero. But the Mario games have been much better and there was DK country returns.
I'd say the third part support has probably been better too. Sure, no RE4 sized hits but it's not like the Gamecube was getting RE4 quality games left and right... Just RE4...
