Is that why many of the first party Nintendo games I've played this generation are worse than their predecessors or are basically the same as the ones before it?

Name me five then that are bad.

Where in my post did I imply the games were bad?I said that many of the ones I've played are worse than or basically the same as their predecessors. There's more than just games from a certain company being bad or good; it's also how the games live up to the previous caliber of quality set by the company and also how the games match up to the standard of time.

More than half of the Nintendo's first party Wii titles have been casual garbage, mini-game collections, and non-games(see Wii fit, Wii music, and others). Sony first party line-up > Nintendo first party line-up Nintendo has only published 3 AAA's so far this gen and doesn't appear to have anything groundbreaking on the horizon. SCEA has already pushed out 4 AAA's this gen and has so many more potential AAA's on the horizon that it's mind boggling that you would even make a topic like this. Nintendo AAAs for Wii: Mario Galaxy Warioware SSBB Potential Nintendo published AAA's on horizon for Wii: Punch Out (???????) SCEA published AAA's for PS3: MLB09 Killzone 2 Resistance 2 LittleBigPlanet Potential SCEA published AAA's on horizon for PS3: God Of War 3 inFamous Gran Turismo 5 Warhawk 2 Uncharted 2 White Knight Chronicles Ratchet And Clank Future 2 Twisted Metal ps3

I agree to an extent, but Nintendo seems especially content with not satisfying my gaming needs this gen. I've completely disconnected the Wii and boxed because it has been used for over a year.

I actually enjoyed the Gamecube much more - the games had a more unique feel to them and I continued playing most of their games throughout the gen. I can't say the same of the Wii.

Not to start any conspiracies here.. but GS are not big Wii fans. And quite possibly have the most inconsistent scores of any outlet.

I can name a bad one.

Twilight Princess.

I love my Wii but - not all first party games are a success - also that DK racing game was garbage on Wii.

i agree 400%, the wiimote really takes a lot away from games this gen. i think very few games have benefitted from it, and a lot of games have not benefitted from it, but worsened because of it. and then there's the games that don't even use it, brawl, etc.

a series known for its environments, metroid prime, was exactly the same in that area.. mp3's environments were slightly better than mp2's. however, another series known for its environments, gta, benefitted greatly from the next gen leap, with GTA4 having a greatly improved environment and an advanced atmosphere compared to GTA3 or SA. of course, you could make the argument that you'd rather have wiimote control than better technical "graphics", but i think most people would agree that playing a new game is better than playing the same game again controlled a different way(obviously this is exaggerated)

Doesn't change the fact that Sony has more good confirmed first party goodies on the way than sheep could even dream about.

Oh please, they practically hand high scores to the wii. Games that would have scored 7 on PS2 are getting 8 on wii.
