What October game(s) are you most looking forward to?

October is a pretty big month! I plan on getting Far Cry 6 and Metroid Dread. Will also be playing Back 4 Blood and Ages of Empires 4 on Game Pass! What about you, SW? What October game(s) are you most looking forward to?

Be picking up Age of Empires IV.

Shit at MP, so prob play the campaign and dumb dumb AI battles.

Back 4 Blood, but after playing the beta I'm not gagging to get back to that. Will play it though.

Still unable to put Hades down at the and when I do it's time for Psychonauts 2.

Age of Empires IV, Back 4 Blood and Far Cry 6.

Obviously Age of Empires IV, but man, I really, really hope Disciples: Liberation turns out good. Played Disciples II, and it was a very interesting take on the HOMM formula. I could use a good new HOMM-style game right now.

Was thinking I wouldn't be able to play AOE4 as don't have a PC other than my works laptop but if it's on xCloud I could play it that way.

Metroid Dread, that is all.

Age of Empires IV. Played a couple of matches and it was pretty good.

I might eventually try Guardians of the Galaxy but it's going to wait a long while.

Age of empire 4. Aslo Shadow warrior 3 will highly likely for october too.

Probably Age of Empires IV. Major RTS's are rare these days and it's a favorite genre from my childhood, so I like to play what comes along.

When is Hitman 3 coming to Steam? has to be soon, yeah?

Haha same. Set it to easy/story mode and just play through it.

More than a couple good games coming out, but Metroid 5 is definitely what I'm most excited for.

Man, never knew we have that many AoE4 fans in this place, it's not my thing however but will get it at a later date when its on a sale.

The following games of October I'm buying day one (1 already pre-order) are:

1. Metroid Dread is the most anticipating Switch game I'm looking forward to.
2. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl since I'm a fan of the SSB style fighting game and most importantly, I'm team Avatar!!!
3. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a wait/see on the reviews before I jump in but that last trailer boosted my interest.

Decent month. Dread and AoE4, although since I've fallen off a gaming time cliff I can really only say AoE4 now since it is free and I might as well download it it to poke at when I get some random free time. Dread will have to wait. Perhaps an xmas gift...

Sure, but yea, like really, really bad at RTS. Like, Polygon employee level, or Gamespot trying to play Spongebob.

Oh Monark is a worldwide release? I completely missed this news I thought its 2022 for English. Been watching their gameplay commentary a lot and still on fence. The combat looks close like Legend of Heroes series which is fine I guess...

I will be getting Caligula Effect 2 PS Collectors edition. Its $99 and is still available on NISA store if anyone interested.

Forgive Me Father, an indie retro-inspired FPS with Lovecraft elements is coming to early access on Steam on Oct 28 so that will be pretty fun to play. I get excited for these little indie shooters that happen every so often.

But as for the AAA scene, nothing. It all looks like tripe to me.

What a shit month, there's nothing to buy.

@SolidGame_basic: Something I forgot to mention that there's going to be a new Smurf game aka The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf that's coming to switch, Xbox One, PS4, PC October 26th. Love the cartoon as a brat, I might get it for Switch but we'll see how the reviews turn out.

Back 4 Blood and NHL 22. Both for XSX.

I've been hearing some mixed to middling reactions to Back 4 Blood. If what they say is true, it is not better than L4D2 except for graphics. Very disappointed as I had been anticipating that since it was announced.

Interested in Far Cry 6, but I still have to play my copy of FC5. I'll just wait for the price drop. Riders republic has me interested though. Have to see what kind of reviews it gets first.

If you feel like you can't really hold your own against the pro 'I can click faster than you' players, I definitely suggest going with 3v3 and 4v4 in your first matches.

Your success or failure won't make as much of a difference there than it would in 1v1 or 2v2. In 3v3 or 4v4 the good players can really help you as long as you are clear in communicating what you plan to do (attack here) or signaling if you need help.

Let's definitely team up though. 2V2 here we gooooooooooo

Age of Empires IV and Back 4 Blood (only cause its coming out on Gamepass, would not pay full price for it).

tried the AoE IV technical test on the weekend and it seems really promising. excited to get my hands on the full game

Riders Republic also looks fun, might pick that up as well.

Anyhow surprised nobody yet said Riders Republic. The beta was really great and the general feedback is really positive. Seems like a really cool multiplayer game especially if you have a party of friends. Personally, obviously will not get it I mean paying $60 for a Ubisoft game that will be discounted 20% the next month is a terrible money investment.

I've seen very little hype or anyone talking about Riders Republic for that matter. But yeah, few gamers don't like Ubisoft but I'm always cool with Ubi and from what I seen on the game, I won't buy it, I feel like this game would be really fun, but at the same time, I feel like it would have a short life span. Its a good thing I have Uplay+ option so chances are, I might just rent it.

Far Cry 6 and Riders Republic I am definitely interested in both of these but might hold off for a bit as Ubisoft titles tend to go on discount fairly quickly.

Back 4 Blood I'll be picking up on Game Pass for PC. Same goes for Age of Empires IV.

Mario Party Superstars is something I might pick up to play with my girl.

Metroid Dread is the main one. Can't wait to play it on my Switch OLED.

Metroid Dread and Age of Empires 4 ... also and for some weird reason, the Nickelodeon Smash game is getting some attention due to its mechanics ... so i'm also keeping an eye on it.

Lots of copium will be needed after many of you get Dread Mobile.

Fatal Frame and Alan Wake will be good to play for the pre-Halloween festivities.

Probably the new Guardians game if that's decent and possibly Far Cry 6 as well. Busy month.
