What people seem to forget about the ps3

Is that this is a system that is built for the future. Poeple are quick to jump on the ps3 saying "oh look 360 outsold ps3 in november!! lulz, the ps3 sucks!" But i think that the ps3 is doing fine right now. This is a console that is in 1/5 of its lifespan (according to sony) and if the ps3 is here to stay, then i can see sony making a really good profit off this machine. Just think, ps3 still have yet to come out with many of their flagship titles like God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy (will sell better on ps3) along with other ip's such as Killzone 2. This is all for 2009-2010

Microsoft on the other hand have already released all of their main franchises, and will only repeat selling sequels to them (like gears and forza) Microsoft doesnt have a high def player and with blu-ray becoming more and more popular this will make ps3 more appealing. Sony is known for sticking with their consoles, and just because the most expensive console on the market isnt selling the most in a recession, fanboys are claiming that the ps3 is doomed.

I'm not hating on 360, im just saying that fanboys should lay off the ps3, because chances are - its going to be around longer than the 360 will be

I'm taking this with a grain of salt. You're saying that Microsoft is done with all original IPs? Can you confirm this, can you say 100% that this is true? Also, will Final Fantasy XIII sell better on the PS3? Can you absolutely confirm this 100%? No, you can't do that for ether. You'd sound more credible if you just said that the PS3 still has some great games coming out that people can look forward to, and give some better reasons why the PS3 will still be around.Legendaryscmt

1/5 of its lifespan?

The only way too increase a consoles lifespan is through great sales. The Nes did that, the PSX did that, the PS2 did that..

The ps3 however doesn't have sales on that level. Without a userbase large enough it won't last long when the next gen arrives.

There's no such thing as "built for the future". A new console released tomorrow would obliterate the PS3 in terms of specs. Consoles are always out of date as soon as released.locopatho
