What Platform has the Best Exclusive for 2008?

What does everyone think?

I think Gears 2 for 360 will take the cake...

Gears 2, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Too Human(2222 0_o) are great to me, but my roomate gets MGS4 and Resistance 2.

MGS 4 easily.

First MGS game on new tech.

This game outways every other exclusive game this year.

Gears 2 easily. Although I do hope MGS4 does well and isn't a complete failure. It looks alright, but it seems people are expecting so much, that they are just going to be very dissapointed. Either that or they will convince themselves that it is awsome, just so that they don't feel bad for being so hyped for it. But they will always have that nagging truth in the back of their head.

It depends what you mean by best exclusive. You mean rating? or sales? It will be hard for Gears of War 2 to improve enough to get better then 9.6 and GOTY. Thats a pretty high goal to reach.

I mainly want to see the story in Gears(even though MGS4 will crush it in the story depth, I;ll have to play that at my friends). I thought the first was going to have an incredible story with all the info released before the game.

Gameplay wise probably Ninja Gaiden II or Banjo if it's released his year.

Unless of course RE5 hits. than PS3 or 360 win.

SSB is good stuff but I've always preferred MGS. And I'm not really expecting Gears 2 to have the same effect as the original... I think they're going to rush it a bit for the November release.

Gears 2 cannot compete in the same year that a MGS game is coming out. Actually, you sound more like a person that is trying to do some damage control for MGS4... As every website that had the opportunity to play the entire game verified that not only will the game meet our expectations for hype, it will probably exceed it. Gears 2 will probably be the best game on the 360... unfortunately, there has been a lot of innovation since the original Gears came out. It will be good... but it's also being made by Epic... they are not the cutting edge in innovative games, their games are just fun.

MGS4 will not win game of the year. It is not the huge casual franchise puller that cows seem to think it is. its a game people buy when they already have the system. GTA4 has Game of the year already IMO, they might aswell just give it to rockstar now.

best exclusive IMO could be Gears 2 or MGS4, it will depend if your a cow or a lem. there is no end to this argument. personally i am looking forward to "Aliens colonial marines" and "Splinter cell conviction" more than anything else this year.

Casual appeal is not the determining factor for GOTY. GTA IV will definitely be a contendor, but it has not guaranteed a win yet. MGS4, Resistance 2, & Fable 2 are likely to be just as strong. I think the best exclusives on the 360 come down to Fable 2 and Gears 2. The most innovative of the two will be Fable 2, but Gears 2 will probably be more popular.

We should see gameplay on Gears 2 tonight, but I'm really not expecting that much from Epic or the Unreal Engine... both seem to be losing steam this gen. If you look at the list of Unreal Engine improvements... they are all enhancements that merely catch up to what we've seen on other engines already, particularly on Sony's system. I'd love to be proven wrong though. And either way, the gameplay should be pretty fun... Epic IS good for that. But if you try comparing the innovation of MGS4 vs. Gears2, I don't think it will even be a contest.
