What PS3 game will be its "Gears of War" type hit?

One thing I don't get is according to vgchartz God of war 1 sold less than 3 Million copies.I would think it sold like 6 million or so but I don't know. So maybe Heavenly Sword won't do as amazing I dont know cause god of war is great IMO but it isn't doing like Halo numbers which I thought it did

i don't think it will be mgs4. It will be a good game and all but not alot of people are into stealth games.

I'm not sure why Haze is getting any hype. Personally it doesn't look like anything special. But if you're just talking a solid seller, I'd say UT3 is a safe bet this fall. It's pretty much a guarenteed AA title with the potential to score even better.myke2010

true dat. it really has to have hype. to be a GOW winner. im thinking even, some type of hysteria type game.

i played the demo and thought it was great.... although very short...we really wont know at all until the game is out... thats sonys big hit this year though IMO so if it flops, thats not good for sony

It should be Haze. This game will change the way stories are told in war-like games. No more "these are the bad guys, you're a good guy" The story in this game will be on the same scale as MGS (except less confusing)Not-A-Stalker

I get the feeling people who expect Haze to deliver some kind of crazy in terms of story and storytelling are gonna be disappointed. Free Radical has spoken highly about how awesome it's supposed to be, but ultimately I think it's gonna be pretty standard. And god damn that one trailer pretty much spoiled the entire game. You'd think such a twist would be kept under wraps.

For this fall I gotta say Haze is the game I'm looking foward to the most but I'm also excited to play UT3 as well. There won't be just one game out this fall going to the ps3 thats comparable to gears there will be a couple of games. I'm also looking foward to wahawk and it will probably be the first game I buy. I'm not saying warhawk is comparable to gears but its a heck of a deal with the headset included in the game.

The gameplay may be like most other fps games but I'm expecting great multiplayer matches online and if it doesn't deliver there well there always UT3.

Think what you want, but I'm willing to bet the farm on FRD making another great game.

Yeah I am kind of... confused why they would do that with the trailer. That kind of twist should have been kept a secret, though it has been heavily implied that Shane Carpenter defects sometime durring the game. Hey, at least it's optional. You don't *have* to defect.

Well, if you mean by hit as in sale chart, I would say Unreal III:

1. This is North America, where shooter is the most popular genere.

2. Because of the Gears of War reputation, people would buy Unreal III.

3. It has insane graphics and gore, which casual teens would eat it up like they did to Gears and Halo.

This fall nothing. The 360 lineup is absolutely amazing. Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, GTAIV, COD4, Rock Band, GH3, AC etc. those 3 JRPG's Blue Dragon, Lost Odyessy, Eternal Sonata. A few of those are multiplatforms but getting them all on one console. Next PS3 is going to rule. MGS4, KZ2, FFXIII, GT5 (hopefully).

However the game that will be the biggest hit is obviously Little Big Planet. nuff said.
