What's your best sales pitch for choosing Xbone over PS4?

Like if you worked for Microsoft or had to convince a person to choose Xbone over PS4, what would your sales pitch be?

I'd simply tell them, that if they were all about that 1080p, that they should buy a PS4. For everything else, XB1>>>PS4. From controller to UI. From quality exclusives, to better online. From having EA access to better media capabilities. The XB1 literally does just about everything better than the PS4 except pixels.

If I told an unbiased person the truth, rather than hype, it would be easy to sell them an XB1.

Shit, I have no idea what I would say. Maybe something like "you see this big black box? Yeah this one? It does things. Things you might like. You want it? I will give you a good deal. Just come behind the dumpster here in this inconspicuous back alley. Yeah this way. Hue hue hue."

Really the only thing I can think of is the achievement system. It's better than Sony's trophy system. Aside from maybe the controller that's all I can think of. Kinda hard to tell people to pick the weaker console when there isn't much difference between the software libraries.

I use my X1 everyday, and every one that comes over and sees it in action thinks it awesome. Using the simple voice commands to go from TV, to games, or apps. Changing the channel, pausing my TV, and these commands work upwards of 98% of the time. I tell them lots of background noise or people can make it hit or miss. But setting Kinect properly, and having it above or away from you speakers to ur tv or surround sound makes it work a million times better.

Snapping TV while playing some COD or MK X KOTH is perfect, while waiting.

MS is constantly adding to and making the X1 better.

After Windows 10 releases it probably be a bit shinier, especially IF DX12 gives it any kind of boost. At the very least it'll have cross platform play with PC and the ability to Stream to PC and windows based Tablets and Phones.

Buy an Xbox ONE and wake up with your asshole still intact.

Buy it if you love Halo.

Followed by playing shitty guitar on youtube and showing you his collection of stuff.

Try to sell to a gamer 2 different versions of the very same title at the very same price tag and tell him that the only difference is that 1 version plays a bit worse than the other ...

100% every single gamer thatll hear this will go to the best possible version of the game for the same price , period. So you see , it can work both ways and because its all about games as you say , PS4 wins by default ( consoles speaking ).

So if you tell your unbiased person the truth , tell this truth as well and lets see what this person will choose... Better controller and UI or the best possible versions of same games on same prices.

Yeah, this pretty much. Ultimately it's all about games, no matter how much MS try to make it all about everything BUT games. Better controller and UI is just opinion anyway.

I have both and my X1 is only ever used for Halo MCC as all the multiplats are better on PS4 and I don't care for Sunset or Forza. Xbox One is a really, really hard sell. That may change over time of course but they need to get a move on with some must have exclusives and plenty of them.

It's also really difficult to sell a system that dumps it own exclusives on to PC as well it's almost completely pointless buying an Xbox One if you own a good PC.

@blueinheaven: If it's ultimately all about the games, as you say it is then the XB1 is perfectly competitive with the PS4. While you might not care for any of the XB1's exclusives, many people do.

The vast majority of games on both systems are multiplats. ALL multiplats are better on PS4 so the Xbox One is not competing with the PS4 at all. Neither system has many exclusives if you are happy for most of the games on your system to be inferior to PS4 so you can play Halo that's your choice but I own both and hardly ever play the X1 so I could never in good conscience tell anyone to choose it over the PS4.

@blueinheaven: All multiplats playing better on PS4 is debatable. Evolve, AC Unity, DA Inquisition, and some aspects of GTA5 PLAY better on the XB1.

There really isn't enough difference between these consoles multiplats to justify your purchase while ignoring everything else. Buying a PS4 simply because 1080p>900p without taking any other aspects or features into consideration is just dumb. You should look at the features they have... You should look at the exclusives they have... and in that regard, I would be very hesitant to recommend a PS4 over an XB1.

I would tell them it's cheaper. Then run away before they ask why.

No no no, you're doing it wrong. You can't go two steps like that, only one works. You see, mine is funny because it replies to your statement with an assumption that with the Xbox One, you'll still get bent over, you just won't feel anything. Whereas yours is a two part assumption in that Kaz is having a relationship with Phil and also the aforementioned is the reason why. It just doesn't work.

I'd just tell them to try exclusives of both systems, that really should make the case by itself honestly. Of course $50 less does make a difference, so does a better controller. Resolution issues aren't a real subject especially when we still live in a market that my ex bought a tv that the box said 1080p, I hooked my desktop up and it was clearly 1080i(resolution was not up to 1920x1080) plenty of people have a lower resolution TV and think nothing of it.
