Have only played 2 and 3. I'll go with 3.
Oh Lord, this needs to change, like now. Go get Persona 4!

Don't have a ps2, or vita.
But I've gotten some xmas money and deciding between a Vita and a Wii U. So Idk... So many upsides to owning both, but i dont have the money and time...
I only played 3 and 4 golden.Between those two I say 3.Mainly cause I like the cast more.I own 1 and 2 for psp but havent got around to playing them yet.
Persona 4 because thats the only one I've ever played and Yukiko takes a massive dump on Chie
Persona 4 Golden without a doubt.
Although it is noteworthy that if I want to press my luck and am looking for a challenge, I will play Persona 3 FES.
And best boss fights have to go to P3FES: The Answer for obvious reasons.

ewww yukiko is by far one of the worst characters in the game right there with rise.THey were so boring. Hell the only reason I bothered with Rise was cause doing the social stuff actually helped you in combat. If not I would have totally avoided her.
I've only played Persona 3 and Persona 4 and while both are excellent, 4 is easily superior. TBH, I don't really see an argument for 3 being better.
well yea if we are going by just gameplay stand point 4 is the obvious winner.Im more looking witch I enjoyed more witch has to do greatly with characters. So thats what I voted p3.

Social Links are Vital anyway despite being helpful in combat or not. I maxed out Teddie and Naoto's stuff despite never actually using them in battle.

The only thing she has over Chie is looks.
Heal Spells.

Understandable, but I actually think 4 has a superior cast. I liked all the characters in P4 whereas I thought Fukka and Ken in P3 were very meh.

True. I actually edited my post to acknowledge Yukiko being more useful in battle.

Not for me. I only max out those I use in combat or those I deem interesting.Though sometimes its hard mainly cause sometimes there isint enough time to do so for those I have an interest in.

The only thing she has over Chie is looks (and I guess she's a bit more useful in combat). But Chie's personality>Yukiko's.
I actually found chie better in the looks department. Also for healing I just used the MC.

If you knew about the True Ending of Persona 4 you would do greatly in getting everything maxxed out. Also you get access to the best Persona.

Really? That's a very unconventional opinion, but I can dig it. Chei is cute in her own way.

Nah, Yukiko is awesome. So far she has been way better in combat for me than Chie. She has sooooo much SP

I didint know this lol. I dont know looking at them both Chei just draws me in more is all.I think its the combination of her looks and personality.Maybe I like the tomboy look. She was basiclly the character I picked each time the MC needed to have a romance situation.

Come to think of it, Ryse was kind of annoying, but still better than Fukka and Ken.
I actually liked Aigis (the robot girl) a lot.

I didn't pick Chei for romance stuff because she was too a much a bro to me (I mean that in the best way possible), but she was by far my favorite character. She's probably one of my favorite characters in any game.

Yukiko and that one theatre chick ( I avoided Ryse because I found her annoying). I didn't even really like the theatre chick that much personality-wise, but I was really drawn to her sideplot. That's one of the things I liked the best about the game: the social links were really emotionally engaging, especially that one with the stepmom who can't connect with her stepchild.

I played the game fairly recently and that's the version I played as well (since I refuse to buy a Vita until it gets a decent exclusive line up of RPGs).

I've only done a few of Yumi's story line but man, its really depressing. Nanako is like the most depressing kid in the history of video games. lol

thats what got me hooked in p3 and p4 as well. The side story to the social links. I remember that one character in p3 who was some sick kid. Man that was depressing.

Yes, Yumi. That's her name. But yeah, her storyline is really sad, but it's convincingly sad.
It is kind of depressing how Nanako is basically raised by the TV. I like her a lot tho. She's very mature for a little kid. Not at all annoying.

I don't think I did that one (was it in the non-FES version?) But I just read up on it and yeah, it sounds pretty emotionally intense. I like that the social links end on a note of hope tho.

According to the internet he was in all 3 of them. I only played the FES version.I really hope P5 doesint try to shy away from the social link story stuff and romance moments since thats where a chunk of my enjoyment comes from.
Torn between 3 & 4, but I'm going with 4.
Persona 3 will always have a special place in my heart. It was a unique and surprisingly addicting experience, and it set the foundation for Persona 4 and possibly the others after that. However, P4 pretty much fixed most of the problems P3 had and had a better overall cast.
