DS or PSP?

i have a GBA right now but I want to upgrade and i dont know if i should get a DS or a PSP. Ds has some great games that are for DS only and i wouldnt be able to play if i got a PSP like animal crossing WW SM64, mario kart, super mario world, super mario bros 3 (i know smw and smb3 are gba games but they are still bc with DS) But PSP also has great games that i wouldnt be able to play if i got a DS like GTA VC stories and LC stories, socom, soon to be crush, MGS portable ops and others but like...i donno...which should I get? Also can you remove the touch screen on the DS or fold it back so you dont have to use it or see it?

Also, I dont really care about the PSP internet browser or music or w/e.

mostly just shooters, 2d platformers like mario bros, and flight sims. and then of course the occasional hard-to-categorize game like animal crossing.

I swear to God this is my honestly opinion

okay

for a short term, you will find DS so much fun, that it brings back the old time fun of gaming, and because its touch screen function, you will be hungry searching for games that support that idea, and have fun with it ... but here comes the result ... after a while, you will get bored with that touch screen play, and you will go like "although I can wash my dogs and plays with them, but scratching the screen is getting old, I need something looks better"

then, here comes PSP, that you eventually will want to get a PSP for its beautiful graphics and sounds

conclusion is, get the DS, if you think the "touch screen gameplay" will never bored you

if you think you might get tired of that gameplay pretty soon, get the PSP

and you might ask "is DS all about touch screen gameplay?"    I'd say YES, because that's what made a DS special, and the graphics of DS ??   just try to remember the good old N64 days

If you already own a ps2 I think you should get a ds lite. Most psp games are just ports of ps2 games. The ds will be getting tons more games than the psp because of the much larger user base(double the psp atleast).
