50/50? Not a chance in hell. This place is full of 360 fanboys. Take a poll and find out.  

If you want ease of use and reliable hardware, the 360 is your last option. If you want a bigger set of games, then the 360.

But the PS3 is starting to look very nice.

i personally would never support microsoft...they already the support they need..i think its about time sony gets the support they deserve...get a ps3, cuz from next month on, you wont be dissapointedFurbyballistik

this is terrible logic, don't listen to them, they have beter support because they've been out longer and has a better system with a library ten times better than that of the ps3's not wanting to support them becuase they're good, and settling for the worse product is just idiotic

Depends on what games you want.  Here are some of the more notable exclusives:

360 has shooters (Halo 3, Gears of War trilogy, Bioshock, Lost Planet), wrpgs (Mass Effect trilogy, fable 2), racing (pgr3/4, Forza 2), jrpgs (Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon), and some rts (Halo Wars, C&C3, BFMEII - though i wouldn't recommend rts on a console)

ps3 has action/adventure (Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, team Ico Games), hack and slash (God of War 3, Heavenly Sword), shooters (Resistance, Warhawk, Socom, Killzone), jrpgs (FFXIII, White Night Story), racing (Gran Turismo, Motostorm), and novelty games (LittleBigPlanet).  Also, the king of all stealth games MGS4.

Yeah, seriously. SONY never gets any support. Aside from the fact that they've sold over 200 million consoles worldwide, but really it's SONY who are the underdogs....um, just keep telling yourself that and maybe it will be true.

Okay, I'll try to stay on topic.  ATM the 360 is a better buy all around.  Maybe in a couple of years things will be different, but for now, I think your safest bet is the 360.

I'd actually get a Wii with the 360 for the cost of a ps3, that way this time next year you'll have all 3 and be better off

Do not buy a 360, the failure rate is through the roof and MS are lying about the numbers. Mine died after a year with a error code 0022, a gpu problem, there are so many things that can go wrong with it and forums are over flowing with people with dead 360's trying things like x clamp fix, eraser fix, heat gun fix, towel fix.

It's a joke and MS need to be hung up for releasing such terrible hardware. DO NOT BUY ONE, THE ODDS ARE IT WILL BREAK BETWEEN THE TIME YOU BUY IT AND 18-24 MONTHS LATER. That's a fact that MS will soon have to own up to.

Well, if you're like me and watch 3 or 4 movies AT THE MOST a month, and as a result, the hype of the almighty Blue Ray player doesn't interest you, why spend 200 bucks more on essentially the same thing? Except for the fact, from what I've been gathering, the more expensive system is getting the short-end on a lot of ports...

I seriously do not understand why the PS3 is stereotyped to have no good games out, or at least, very few of them. Do all of you guys play all of the games on one system or something, are you guys that hardcore in gaming? I honestly only own a couple of games, and didn't even finish some yet. Indeed it is a fact that the 360 currently has a much larger game selection out right now, but who is going to purchase most of these games when they first buy the system? It is going to take time to finish all of these games, but by then, more new games are going to come out for both systems. TC, if I were you, I'd pick the system that is going to have more games that are going to appeal to you in the future, and look for some of the games your interested in right now.bsin94

Get Gamefly and then you can try and play all the games. One of the huge advantages of consoles is you can go down to your local blockbuster and rent practically any game. So while I agree that no 360 owner will buy all those games, owning a 360 gives you a much larger library that you can either buy or RENT!

you guys must swim in money. Get a ps3 imo, it´ll last you a really long time, and you´ll end up doing more then just playing games, check both lineups of games, I can´t see how the 360 lineup is even comprarable to the ps3 lineup, but that my opinion on games.
