What should kinect Do more , that will let you buy it ?

First lower the prince its 150$ in NA it is going to be 200 $ here.

More hardcore games ! Like the only games that i want now are Star war Kinect ,Kinect sports and children of Eden,new great games should come in 2011 , casuals will buy and love kinect a lot , like when they previewed it at That Late night with Jimmy Fallon show everybody was impressed and wanted it , and kind of looked fun.

So if these things happen i might buy kinect , hopefully in 2011 .

They obviously have to first play it PLAYABLE, i mean they scripted the E3 star wars demo. The game was controlling the guy and on tv and on videos i can clearly see the lag, and they need games next not a wii sports clone.

$99 price point.

tho ill probably buy it at launch, play around with the tech... then have it sit in front of my tv for a while and hope it gets integrated into some good games down the road.

maybe ill just find a kiosk somewhere and play around with it there rather than buy it... but i would feel like a moron doing that in public... so ill probably end up wasting the money because i do have a deep desire to try the thing out.... even knowing full well the gimmick probably wont last longer than a day.

so you basically want a full sized controller that can work with kinect?

Your wish has been granted, i just made it so the kinect can be used in conjunction with the standard 360 controller.

Less lag, right now all i read is how laggy kinect is. Also work with shooters, but as of now I dont see that in the near feature. Unless you had to use your voice by saying, Shoot, Shoot, throw grenade, shoot, shoot, reload. Also i dont see how i would be able to move, unless i have to jog in place.

Thats probably not going to happen.

But what about other ways to move a character in a 3d space,

maybe:

step forward-moves forward

step back-stops

step back again-moves backward

stepto the left-moves left

step to the right moves right

How would you guys do it?

It should be smaller, handheld. Camera out, replaced with buttons and two analogue sticks. It should also run on a rechargeable battery.

Do you see what I did there? Kinect is useless. Nothing wrong with controllers.

It should have good games?

I'm thinking it should cater to the soccer moms, casual crowd since that is what the Wii did and me thinks "N" is pretty pleased with the results. :twisted:

That said, MS needs to strike the right balance and continue to deliver awesome games for the core gamers as well. :P

micheal jackson game ALONE, is reason enough to buy it...i read the game teaches you the moves, so if MS advertised this, dam cant think of how many people would go out and buy kinect...you could also buy the Move, but come on, Micheal jackson is only going to hold onto 1 thing when hes singing

Stop lying to us. Seriously, almost everything MS showed or said turned out to be fake, staged demos, excluded functions. I don't trust it at all, especially since I doubt everything I saw of it up to now. No way I'm going to buy a device MS had to fake to make it look interessting

whats the excluded functions other than 4 player?

I may or may not get it at some point solely for the dancing games. Otherwise, I find the device pretty useless; I'm not sure anything can change that, and I can't think of any other really useful implementation. I'm not even sure I like it for dashboard or interface control. It would be much better coupled with 3D, but 3D is far from mainstream at this point.
