What was Nintendo thinking?

Releasing an underpowered console that can't support next-gen engines and has no games and still sell it at $350. Did they really think people would be dumb enough to buy it?

Making a High end console for the lowest cost.

The pad controller is about 1/3rd of the overall console's price.

The Wii U is trash but Nintendo has no choice but to support the pos. Who knows, maybe the games could overshadow its shitty hardware.Kaszilla

I love how the hardware that is comparable to the 360 and PS3's hardware is now deemed crappy.

Proof that these past 6 years was nothing but one huge fanboy war and it had nothing to do with the actual consoles.

Nintendo is hell bent on making supplementary consoles that primary platforms. No self respecting gamer owned only a Wii last gen. It was only good to supplement a PC/PS3/360 since there are absurd droughts of no games.

Well they reduced potential for the tablet it brings. It was a sacrifice and a gamble. While nintendo Does make money from it the other game developers don't.... which is where the problem comes for nintendo. It has no support but itself. A little sad too.. some of those not very well known games are quite great.

This. 98% wii's out there have been used as doorstoppers and paperweights for years already. Normal, unbiased people look at wii and wii u and see both are overpriced pos. Manchildren see the nintendo logo and go loco
