I wanted to include Valkyria Chronicles, Boom Blocks, Blast Works, and a few other games, but I felt I should be fair and name all four of the major systems. I also wanted to include The World Ends With You and Patapon, but handheld games aren't discussed much here, and I doubt they'd get many votes.

Also, this YEAR, so now Portal, BioShock, Mass Effect, and such. No.

Anyway, I say No More Heroes. I haven't played Little Big Planet enough to judge, though. I actually think that'd win if I played it for more than two hours.

Everytime you do this, that and the "Biggest sleeper hit" You always put up these games which everyone goes like "where's Dead Space?"

Lawlz, I forgot all about that game! Still, all of these games are very good choices, in my opinion.

No More Heroes.

While Little Big Planet is good, I had a helluva time with No More Heroes. Lost odyssey is just to damn boring for me. Kaim thinks he's badass but yeah whatever. "Don't ever look at me like that again" :roll:

I voted Little Big Planet but wheres Dead Space?! To me thats the best new IP this year bar none. Dead Space and Mirrors Edge gave me a reason to have faith in EA again.

I going with handhelds, and my vote will go to The World Ends With You. Professor Layton and Patapon were great too.

Other- Dead Space was a ton of fun.....and i feel will have sequals.. Little Big Planet...should be a game built on DLC...and expanded upon but thats my opinion...but i also wont be shocked if we get LBP 2 and 3 in 2010 and 2012

Eh Poll, due to LO - didnt know it was that good.... Id say Left 4 Dead - surprisingly. Really surprised me how good it is. Other indie games like World of Goo deserve a mention. From the list, my bet would be on LBP and SoaSE...

Out of those? Definitely LittleBigPlanet. Such an incredible game. Left 4 Dead and Dead Space should be on there as well IMO.

No. Lost Odyssey only got a 7.5, but I put it on there because it's highly regarded as a good game. The way people talk about it is like a 9.0. Scores are irrelevant in the polls I create, unless they are related to something score-wise. I just pick the games that I feel are highly regarded the most in the category we are talking about. I thought these four would get the most votes. And there's only 20 Other out of 104 people. And that's only four games out of the tons that came out this year! But I think I should've chosen Dead Space over one of the options on there, now that I think about it.

IP stands for Intellectual Property and is one of the few sayings I don't mind using on these forums as it relates more so the the business world in general rather than the gaming industry (although, it can clearly be applied to it, as stated). Also, I agree with you. Left 4 Dead is the one new game I've had the most fun with. LBP a close second. I'm anticipating picking up Mirror's Edge at the end of the month, as well.
