I had an Atari 2600, Pong, and a Commador 64 when I was kid but those were purchased before I was born, my first real console that was bought with me in mind was the NES.

A famiclone called family game:

my dad bought it in 89-91 cant remember, it had 41 NES games inside including super mario bros and donkey kong, it also played famicom cartridges so i used to rent super mario 3 as well as other games

If it counts, an amiga. But thats more of a computer than a games console, so if it doesn't count, it will be a philips CDi.

The Nintendo Entertainment System, which came with Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. Those were the days :)

Don't worry a lot of those who pick Atari are kids trying to be old schools gamers, a lot of the guys in here expecially in system wars are teens trying to be mature and experience gamers, but they are all very knowledgble in gaming because of the search engines not for really playin the games. Well my first console was the Coleco Vision with Donkey Kong and Mario trying to recue the princes and in the proces breaking barrels with a hammer.

A console is an ornamental bracket for supporting a shelf. I got one, and wasn't too excited. I've consoled a person when they are sad. Oh wait...NES.

I had an NES clone called Demy. It had a few NES games saved on it, such as Super Mario Bros. and Bomberman. It played cartridges too, so I played a bit of Duckhunt too.

When I was born, my Dad owned a Mega Drive, we then had a Playstation, the first console I really asked for was an N64, special pikachu edition ^.^
