When I first played Resisdent Evil. After dieing and seeing myself get eaten it gave me nightmares that night.CajunShooter
Me too, I sneaked into my brothers bedroom to play his PS1, and played resident evil at only 7 years old... remember the part where someone is bending over something near the start of the game, he turns around and its a zombie? That Scarred me for a long time that did
Dungeon Master, Infestation, Doom.

Actually yeah I take that back, I think Doom was the first game to really scare me. Never scared me enough to stop playing it but would be kind of creepy late at night with all the lights out.
The first Silent Hill.nVidiaGaMer
Wasnt the first, but by far one of the best, its not so much make you jump scary, its just unsettling at times.
I hear Fatal Frame mentioned alot, i never played that series unfortunatly.
Crap how could i forget the System Shock games, worst games ever to play in the dark, Dino Crisis on the PSone scared the crap out of me at times too, as well as the obvious Resident Evil 1 ect.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker... in the fortress where you go looking for the sword when you lose it, there is an empty room in which I entered... seconds later some stupid rats appeared out of nowhere!
Then, the second time I entered in the room, I knew rats were going to enter the room, so I was prepared... or I thought so... seconds later, the rats appeared, and someone touched me... I jumped!

that first zombie encounter had me scared for weeks on end
Resident Evil.
RE2 was worse though, I still remember when the damn crows burst through the windows in the hallway. That was the first and only game I turned off because I was too scared.
Chutebox
I remember that Damn Giant Crocodile Boss in 2. that thing was insane!
In Super Mario 64 - twice.
First in the level where you had to go plunder under the sunken ship...I was just floating near the bottom and a massive eel moves right past the screen. I left that level from trauma and haven't returned since :o
Also when you steal the baby penguin...the mother began chasing me and I ran out of the room :P
Resident Evil
I was doing ok, until the part where you start to head down the hall and those zombie dogs comes running around the corner at what seemed like lightning speed. I almost wet myself.
Silent Hill was one of the more memorable titles that creeped me out. I remember when I first played through the school level in the alternate dimension. Invisible demon babies + staticy radio + dark disturbing rooms = nightmares for a week.
Aside from that, I remember playing half life when it first came out at the age of 10. The headcrabs and headcrab zombies gave me a bit of a scare at first. Especially when it came to that one lab room early on in the game that was pitch black save for this computer monitor blaring out blinking lights. I remember walking up to the monitor out of curiosity only to see a headcrab zombie having a seizure in the seat next to it.
Well the first ever games that scared me were Resident Evil 2, 3 and Final Fantasy 7. I was about 7 playing these on my Uncle's Playstation. The zombies in the RE games always creeped me out and gave me nightmares, and I always had bad dreams about Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII destroying the world haha.
But the first game that I was scared of when I bought was the Resident Evil remake. I got it when I was about 10 or 11, and after the first zombie encounter, I turned it off and couldn't sleep that night, or the night after. Still haven't completed it to this day :D

There were a few times in the game that made me jump like the ghost babies in the school, the flying thing crashing in through the window of the bar, and going through the alley having some demons coming out of knowwhere.
Resident Evil 3: Nemisis. Scary stuff!Dark_Link142
Nemesis would always crash through stuff at the most unlikely of times.

When you are in the police station and he comes through the window or wall - i had no ammo/ health and i had been running from zombies for 10 mins, i had no idea where to go or what to do it was a massive jump moment for me (i was aound 12) I still act like a little girl when it comes to horror.
