What was the hardest game of the year? (poll)

I'm talking brutally hard, not just kinda sorta difficult. I'm talking hard from sheer strength of bad guys, or hard like this puzzle is gonna make my brain melt, or hard like no one can react this fast! Do not confuse this with programming so bad it's nearly unplayable hard (I'm looking at you lair).

Only games released in 07 count. No games released earlier. So no mario 2 on VC, and no NG PS3.

Give me some nominations and I'll make a poll.

Trauma Center: New Generation got a medal for "punishing difficulty".

Specially on veteran, this game kicks your arse.

I totally agree. Even if you get good enough (which I managed to do), your fingers go numb after a while.

Even though it was insanely difficult, it was that much more fun.

Well a game like GH 3 has the potential to be the hardest game just by putting something ridiculous such as Through fire and flames in the game. In general, FPSes and other games are made to be beaten, it just may take some time. Cod 4 wasnt very hard, although on veteran it sometiems took a few tries. You could also say mario galaxy is the hardest game with the extra planets and getting all 120 stars.XEviscerateX

Edit: Nevermind, I can't actually play the solo later in the song (it's actually difficult, but Herman Li isn't exactly a guitar god). I can play most of the song though, my friend taught it to me. He taught me a really lame version for the solo though, sorry I was confused there for a bit.

Yeah this is why I dont like Speed Metal or some types of Power metal (I like most Power Metal though). In fact there are far too many types of modern metal bands like Dragonforce that over-indulge in shredding. Thats why im more of a fan of the old-school stuff.

A great bluesy solo is much harder to do. Saying that, im not really a lead guitarist, but a lot of the soloing from bands like Dragonforce consists of playing 2-3 notes repeatedly. Then all you have to do is practice increasing the speed.

Anyway, I havent really played many games releasedlast year. In fact I think the only game I have played that came outast year is Mario Strikers Charged. Looks like that will have to be my nomination :lol:

How was it hard? I'm on Veteran and I blazed through it. I only died a couple of times on the Ferris Wheel part. The trick is to go hide behind the bumper cars and snipe any enemies. I don't think I got shot once while doing that.

The end of that mission was such a b****. I literally died 100x at the ending of that mission.
