What was the last game you bought after trying it out on Gamepass/PS Now/demo/beta?

I ended up getting Dirt 5 on sale after playing it for a while on Gamepass. It's on sale right now for $18. It's mindless arcade fun for the price. But I guess when Forza Horizon 5 comes out, it might fall to the wayside lol.

Well I’ve only had Game Pass for a few months now and none of the games that I want to own have left yet so haven’t felt like I’ve needed to purchase anything on that front.

I rarely play demos these days as I have way too many games in my backlog to spend time on and I pretty much know what games I’ll want to buy or not anyway. I think the last demo I played in which I bought the game was Monster Hunter Rise on the Switch. I was always going to buy that game regardless but was just itching to play it asap.

Tales of Arise. I played the demo and I loved it. I also loved a previous entry, called Tales of Symphonia. Sure, it's got a few blemishes, but overall it was a good experience. I'm looking forward to playing the full game (I have it, but I'm busy with other games, so I haven't played it yet).

I was about to say I haven't as I've done PS Plus for years now and wouldn't buy any of those games as I'm set for another two years atm. BUT I did buy State of Decay after letting GP lapse.

Children of Morta. I try them on Game Pass, then buy them on Switch, usually.

My kids enjoyed co-op Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. For it for them a couple months ago after they played the hell out of the demo.

Got Ghost Runner after playing the demo.

Only game I've bought after trying it on a service first is Sea of Thieves. Played it on gamepass, later bought it on Steam.

Monster hunter world iceborne demo. Killed the ice dragon then go straight to pre oder page.

It seems all 1st party games stay on GP forever so as long as I keep my GP sub I don't see a reason to buy them.

Now should I decide at some point to cancel GP, before doing so I'll buy the games I want to keep at the reduced pricing. :P

Other than the new Mass Effect, I can't really think of any 3rd party games I'll actually buy in the near future.

I guess it was sable. Game has an absolute killer artstyle, and it just has a relaxed vibe.

Most Games I try in a demo I end up not buying. Did it with Monster Hunter World and Outriders.

Most games I buy I feel pretty good about beforehand.

Except for Fallout 76, christ what a waste of $60. Never again.

Watched a vid a couple weeks ago, and saw that there's a problem with the vehicle and whistling to make it come over. It didn't work at all. Is that fixed?

Well I have a reverse story about this. I've been considering buying Riders Republic for a while now, good thing I tried out the 4 HOUR completely free trial. I played all I needed to play and it saved me some money.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. Got PS Now for 2 months just to play this game but I barely even touched it. Once I cancelled the subscription I bought the game and proceeded to beat all 4 games back to back. I don't really like playing things that I don't own like PS+, PS Now, etc lol. It feels like I'm playing on your time.

I didn't buy Forza Horizon 4 yet but I bought the expansion DLC for it when it was on sale.

Right now I am really itching to get Outer Wilds which I originally played on Game Pass and loved and now they have the new expansion for it, so thinking of getting it since it is no longer on Game Pass.

I also really like Observation, played it a few times, have had it on my wish list since it left Game Pass waiting for a sale but thinking I might just splurge if that never happens.

I got Dandara after it left Game Pass, tried it because it was leaving and really liked it and grabbed it later because I really enjoyed it, then the damn thing ended up on Game With Gold.

I got Sinner also because of Game Pass, couldn't finish it as it was a hard game, bought it, still can't beat it.

I got a Dirt Rally 2.0 and Dirt 4 as they were leaving Game Pass, then Codemasters got bought by EA and they added them back into the EA Play (thus back to Game Pass). But I got them on sale between then.

I also didn't get OnRush because I wanted it to be more like Motorstorm but it ended up on Game Pass briefly so I tried it, actually loved it. Was able to play through the entire thing before it was removed and grabbed it again when it was on sale. Kind of felt bad the game wasn't well received because it was actually pretty cool.

I rarely buy games after playing them through subs. The Medium is probably my latest purchase after playing it on GP this past January. I played it, beat it, bought the game on GoG when it went super cheap to buy and its setting in my gaming collection whenever I'm in the mood to play it, I won't half to worry about leaving on GP.

Other then that, I just straight up buy the games I know I'll play and keep these days.
