What was your favorite console war?

What console war did you have the most fun in? I am rolling with N64 vs PS, there was such a rush of great games then.

Hahaha, well I was being thorough, you see I even included Neo Geo.

was the ST vs Amiga for me.

PS3 vs 360 vs Wii. The gloves came off this generation.

SNES vs Genesis was the best by far. It was fought in the streets, not on some internet forum. The Genesis was home to the true hardcore gamers. Blood, guts, and speed.

Easily SNES vs Genesis. That was a lot of fun. Between school and the school bus I spent a ton of time in that argument, strongly on the SNES side, the winning side:D

360 vs. PS3, the amount of petition begging some game to stay exclusive to ps3 or the 9.3-9.5 petition about uncharted was just out of this world

Amen to that. When did sales become a substitute for gameplay. Some of the best games were the least played if you ask me.

360 vs PS3 is the most epic console battle of all time thus far, but the games just haven't been that good this gen. Because of that the battle has less meaning since it's about which doorstop is better.

Gamecube vs PS2 vs Xbox wasn't much of a contest, so that wasn't much fun. PS2 was fun to own, no doubt about it. Game quality began declining significantly during this generation though.

N64 vs PS was interesting. PS won by a large margin with console sales, but both had many great games.

SNES vs Genesis YYEEAAHH!! Back then it was on!! The games were absolutely amazing on both consoles and the race was very close for quite a while. This was the best console war, and the best time to be a gamer.

Yea, but still Wii is a part of this gen war.

My poll says console war.

There have always been wars between consoles, but this time people are taking it to new extremes. I think that gaming's presence in other mediums and the prevelance it is taking in society as a whole now is not only expanding the gaming community but is also causing more and more debates. I wouldn't be surprised if each subsequent generation gets worse and worse until actual wars break out over consoles :P

I like the Nintendo vs Sega, Mario vs Sonic, one. Those times were more fun and less annoying.
