NES with Super Mario Brothers. The only correct answer ;)
same here. it also came with duck hunt in the same cartridge, two controls instead of one and the light gun.

Yep. Duck Hunt pretty much one of the very first games to openly mock you for not doing well

Yup, but I had the gun.
Atari 2600 and the game was Battle I think.briguyb13
The first game I ever bought with my own money was Vanguard, a top-down and side-scrolling space shooter for the Atari 2600. My SEGA Master System was gifted to me by dear old mum, and I had to do a lot of explaining when I sold it to buy my NES. From then on I bought all my consoles on my own. Also, I think you're talking about a game for the 2600 called Combat. Wasn't that a pack-in? In many ways it remained the single greatest 2600 game for years, just because it was 2-player competitive and had so many modes.
My first system was pong and the first game for it was.......pong. I later graduated to the vectrex and not to long after I finally got a real system (2600 w/combat)skyvader
congratulations! you're the oldest man in system wars!
j/k but wow that was a long time ago. damn pong. that came out 14 years before i was born!
N64 was my first console and if I'm sure my first game was mario kart64 the best racing game that is still alive today same with super smash bros the game that still lives up to its name the best game created by nintendo but many will disagree with me but the first smash was still better than the melee since i didnt buy a gamecube since it looked retarded and didnt have any games i wanted except the mario one which werent even that good.
