What will happen to Microsoft once the X1X flops?

Or gaming for that matter... I really want the X1X to succeed because only then will Sony have competition and incentive to make masterpieces such as Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Part 2 even better. I am very concerned for Microsoft because although they might have a superior system than Sony, it will nonetheless be limited by the weakest platform just like PC. Unlike Sony, Microsoft does not have any quality first party developers nor do they have any quality exclusives so when people realise that the X1X is incapable of doing 4K they are gonna feel they have been scammed to the fullest, first with the X1 and now with the premium X1X. Has Microsoft not learned with the initial release of the PS3 that power does not matter? It is the games that make a console sell. Right now Microsoft has no exclusives. Thoughts?

As long as they make profit from xbox they will continue to make them, it's pretty simple. Saying they have no quality first party is laughable, you may not like Forza but the quality in them is undeniable.

This is like your 4th topic asking people about the possibility of a Xbox One X. It won't flop. It will sell better then other mid gen console updoas well as out sell PSVR.

Xbox is/will be the best console for all games. Xbox One X is just way to powerful for Sony to keep up.

I'm not sure but if they are out of the console market I won't miss them, frankly good riddance. I don't want a company that doesn't even try to make good games in the gaming market. Better give place to other company that will actually care about games. Microsoft has become completely clueless.

People love more power/performance; It's why we buy new consoles, it's why we buy new PC hardware, etc...

Choice is always good, so kudos to them for offering another alternative.

I don't think it will matter much if it's a failure, although I don't think it will be. They have targeted a certain consumer base, so I am sure their expectations are on level with that...so at worst they will learn something maybe.

It's a win for gamer's no matter what.

Why? Sony has like 10 exclusive AAA titles this year alone. They're are supporting gaming fine, unlike Microsoft.

It's OK because Microsoft won't say if it's flopped, they don't even give out sales figures anymore so nobody will know.

They are not going anywhere, as long as they break even the will continue supporting the Xbox brand, just don't expect many third party exclusives.

The logic in most of your posts looks like you should be tweeting instead of posting here. And look at what time you posted!!! It all makes sense now. I originally thought you were an Alt account, but now I know who you are.

It could potentially flop but I doubt it will. Since its an upgrade and not the next xbox gen it has a high probability of selling similarly to the ps4 pro. Much like the pro you'll be playing past games and upcoming games that even the base model can play. The bigger question is what games does MS have to entice you to upgrade.

They will go all out PC. I expect the XOX to be short lived. Sony will likely want to stay on top of the console market and as soon as another Sony console rolls out the XOX will be as obsolete as the XBONE.
