What will happen to the video game industry after life-like graphics?

After seeing those DX11 Fermi pics I must admit that they're very good.

So my question is when all video games gets graphics that's life like, what do you think is the next thing video game developers are going to improve upon? (Seeing that graphics is the only thing progessing right now)

Developers will end up going too far, making the graphics actually come to life, with the life like characters destroying all of the humanity. It will happen. Serious.mo0ksi

more open-ended gameplay and more things to do in-game... you know, the stuff that Fable guy promised but he couldnt deliver on... i still want to plant that tree and watch it grow as i play.

Graphics should make games beautiful, not realistic

i think the last of the consoles will come out. it might be the last gen, and everyone will be satisfied with the console theyve got (eg. ps6, xbox 1440, nintndo poo etc.)

They will invent a new dimension and advertise their games as having better than life graphics.

Life like AI hopefully

OR! People invent a new form of display, where you have a transparent box containing billions of particles that flies around and light up to form an image

OR! We have a break-through in quantum physics that allows us to have farcasters built in our "TVs"

OR! The human race extincts before then because every person have forgotten procreate

OR! A giant spider arrives and takes us to the end of the universe where we experience an endless orgasm that satisfies every single sense in our mind so we don't need games anymore

OR! Every superpower in the world develop games into propagandas and viruses that infects people of other nations and we have a techno-neurotic war

OR! The industry looses it's purpose due to the lack of variety within the industry and the lack of competition

Next gen perhaps, the nvidia dune demo looked like a 2007 game and according to moore's law the time to which the demo graphics could be realized will only decrease.

Boo, I never want life-like graphics, we need cell shaded graphics to look like anime though.
