ill wait until both are out...then decide which delivers a better experience. ill get that one.
hopefully they share all the same multiplats like last gen. if they do makes the descision to only own 1 easier.
price doesnt matter to me.

Nothing really.
I dont like microsoft as a company anymore so I wont buy their product to support them.
Ill get one in a couple years because I am a collector and it will have games I want to play eventually I cant get anywhere else. But I definitely wont buy one this year, maybe next fall.
After their plans showed on the X1's unveilling, I wouldn't buy it even if they put a 780 GPU inside it.
People are already forgetting that the Redmond event was one month before E3, they had plenty of time to talk about those features and policies.
They did their job, it's just that what they had to offer was too restrictive and anti-consumer.
The family share plan was obviously a compromise made to calm things down a bit.
Then they had to scrap even that out.
Online backlash isn't enough to make publishers know and feel that consumers do not want the industry to go in that direction.
You want an online, more integrated community with something like family share?
Great, implement that, while also maintaining the physical disc and used games retail market.
You want to implement a Steam-like service for consoles?
Great as well, do it like it is for the PC: not a monopolized service. There's competition coming from other services alike in PC, and there's also the simbiotic physical disc market.
Used games also serve as competition and help bringing prices down.
If that was eliminated, you can be sure that there would be nothing holding prices from soaring.
Edit: I didn't vote since you have no option related to my position.
Xbox One is the best console next genration by a distance. It has great new features such as the cloud, TV and kinect and also has all of the best games. For example Titanfall, the best new franchise will not be coming to Playstation, and for me that will be the final nail in the coffin for Sony. PS4 is just a shitty upgraded PS3 that will have no good exclusive games, whhilst Xbox One gets all the best games and all the best exclusives, as well as the definitive Call Of Duty experience. Sorry Sony fans, but the console war is over before it has even begun! Xbox One is the clear winner!
Why do none of the options have anything to do with the system's games library?

You are a very smart man and you ask the right questions. Which also means that you value the correct qualities of gaming and gaming machines. I like you kid. You're alright in my books. ;-)
Already getting Xbox One on day one for these reasons:
- Killer Instinct (Xbox One Exclusive)
- Better exclusives than PS4
- Better online service than PS4
- Better use of cloud technology than PS4
- More advanced features (voice and gesture controls) than PS4
- Better controller than PS4
- Proper DirectX support - multiplat games may run better on the Xbox One (compared to the PS4) because of this.
- Better build quality - obvious when looking at pictures of it compared to the PS4.

I agree with this guy.Xbox One first for me,then a PS4 at a later date.
cows can ridicule gearsforzahalo all they want but that has never changed the fact that gearsforzahalo is the best 3rd person shooter, 1st person shooter and racer out on consoles.
three huge genres on lock is plenty of reason to get an x1.
maybe those franchises will fall for good this gen and most likely they will but as it stands right this second those are 3 genres with wild critical acclaim that the ps4 simply does not have a match for.
It would have to be made by a different company, not really feeling Microsoft for entertainment uses. I'm down with them for Office and Windows, though.entertainment, hardware, non-OSsoftware, communications.
Halo 5 being Halo 3 with 1080p and 60 fps, and get good support by the developers. Too bad neither one of those will happen. For me the only reason why 360 was better than ps3 was Halo 3 and Reach along with Xbox live party chat. Halo is just changing into a game that I do not want to support and PS4 has something similar to party chat so there is zero chance in me buying the xbone, but I am not even sure if I want the PS4.
While I'm not a cow, that is complete BS. First off, Halo is repetitive. While I bought my first Halo disc before any of you and enjoyed the series a lot, its getting old and is time to move on. Secondly, Project Gotham Racing blew Forza out of the water. The only thing that made Forza stand out was custom paint jobs. Finally, Gears is boring. Epic's best series was Unreal whether it was Unreal Tournament on the PC or the Xbox exclusive Unreal Championship series. Problem is though, today's console gamer doesn't like a challenge and cannot handle a learning curve. They would much rather race for overpowered super weapons, spam Retro Lancers and Sawed Off Shotguns.cows can ridicule gearsforzahalo all they want but that has never changed the fact that gearsforzahalo is the best 3rd person shooter, 1st person shooter and racer out on consoles.

how does anything you said dispute that?

Twice the power of ps4, no Kinect bundled and at $400-450. RAM can stay as is, just gimme better cpu and MUCH better gpusilversix_
This always makes me laugh. Kinect isn't required to play most games. Dead Rising 3 for example, Kinect can be turned off. And, frankly, some games could be very good with kinect. I'm more the standard Console player as well but, just like with Move, some games were very good with it. Plus it comes free with the Console. I don't get the gripes.
Its the Xbox, which has been my favorite video game system since I first got my Xbox in 2005.
I'm glad I have a gaming PC and a PS3 this gen, but my 360 is still where I play the vast majority of my games. It is looking to be the same with the PC, PS4 and Xbox One - as I will own all three.
