What will make you purchase an Xbox one?

maybe those franchises will fall for good this gen and most likely they will but as it stands right this second those are 3 genres with wild critical acclaim that the ps4 simply does not have a match for.

I'm really reconsidering my pre order for sony and might change to xbox one because Xbone is overall the better system.  or I might pick up both on day one.

More TV shows and raise the price of XBL fees and put offline gaming behind a paywall. 

They would have to change almost everything about Xbox, it has very little appeal to me.

$250 cheaper. I have nothing against the Xbox1 or its price, but it's just not ging to be a launch console for me this year. I'll pick it up in a couple of years and in the meantime enjoy my PC and PS4(launch).

I want the fable the we were promised by peter time and time again but never got. Also I want games that anren't just shooters or racers. Also M$ must rebuild rare and give us a proper banjo game and a proper perfect dark. It needs to be $200 cheaper before I'll buy one.

None of the option in that poll is what bothers me with the x180.

The only thing that keeps me from buying it (after the famous 180) is the Kinect! Not because of privacy things, but because its an accessory i would end up never using.

A 400$ x180 without kinect would make me consider it (even knowing the specs are inferior and the HDD is non-replaceable).

I like normal-controller-holding-gaming and i dont care for gimmicks (shouting or gesturing at the TV is silly for me).

The other problem is the voice commands, it sounds pretty in theory but in practice it might be a pain, mainly for non-english languages. My language is extremely nasal and many (MANY) words have more than 5 different meanings.

How would that work? Could the OS be set to a language and the voice commands to English? Would it be fair for those not very familiar with the English language?

Too many questions unanswered to consider it, the console seems to be designed mainly for America.

If I could spend $500 comfortably I'd buy one as is.

Altready have mine pre-ordered! The XBOX ONE to me is more a jump in technology than the PS4. The Kinect 2.0 functionality, cloud processing, XBOX Live still being superior to PSN, the XBOX controller, better exclusives for my tastes and its the console that all of my gaming friends are getting. The Sony fanboys just keep pulling the "our GPU is more powerful card", but it is really like beating a dead horse because these specs that they are relying on are still only hypothetical numbers. Just because the power is there, it doesn't mean that every single developer will tap them. I seriously, seriously doubt that outside of a couple of first party games will we see this gap is graphical fidelity that the Cows think there is going to be and even at that, it wont come until the later part of this upcoming generation. I look at it this way, we have had some beautiful games this past generation and both of these new consoles far surpass what we have seen over the course of the last 8 years, so I dont worry about this "graphical superiority" that the Cows love to hang their hat on!ShoTTyMcNaDeS

I can't think of anything that would make me buy a console at launch. I'll wait until the inevitable price drop, when it actually has a quality library, if ever. meetroid8

Price drop, and a lot exclusives that fit my tastes. Most of all no NSA spying.

I dont want to be forced to buy crappy motion controls and have the governent and microsoft watch my every move.

Ill buy an Xbox One if they instead added wood inside the console so I could watch it burn every day in my fire pit.
