It will probably have some BS symbolic meaning like wii does, and be equally unpronounceable to the japanese. Here's another question - what will Nintendo's next portable console be called?chutupIt will be called a Wii as well. Accept this one will be a Pocket Wii with it's launch game Pocket Pool.

It was my understanding that Wii was chosen because it was easy to pronounce in all cultures, unlike Revolution.Â
If it is successful I wouldn't be surprised if they call it Wii2OGTiagoSuper Wii, like the Nes and SNES?
[QUOTE="coreygames"][QUOTE="Conanfan1"]The Conanfan1 Super Special Game Box.Conanfan1Will it have a Walker Texas Ranger lever on it? Yeah, but it won't be in HD because Nintendo will still be stubborn. :/, they said that their next system would be full 123548324159032i HD like everyone else.
Well, many people thought the Wii was going to be called "GameCube 2" or something like that, so I'm guessing that the next console will have a more simple term like "Go". If not, then I don't know.
peepee , miyamatos starting to come out the closet as a pedo homosexualxifritxWe should have known after he tried to cover it up with that Wife-o-meter bull at GDC! I should have known...

well, it's not like japanese people have differently shaped mouths to the rest of us and find it physically impossible to pronounce the name 'wii'. But they're not used to it because there are no words in the japanese language which use the sound 'wee' nor is there a letter for it. It's like Arnie trying to say 'three thousand'.
I think Nintendo's pronunciation idea was that wii would be pronounced the same way in every culture -Â once they managed to pronounce it at all.
Wii belongs in the toilet, soooooooo........drum roll........... Wii-Station ....... FTL

im guessing it will be called poo! it makes sense- what do you think?qoakzmwisjxneud
What are you, eight? It makes sense...
Well anyway, I'm hoping the come up with a really good name like Sgea used to.
When you really think about the words alone, Xbox, Playstation, and Gamecube are all childish names. Not that I'm bashing anything, but they are names a kid would come up with. Wii at least had a concept behind it's name, rather than naming it after its appearance. Sega had names like Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast that were just fantastic console names, imo.
