What will the 360 and Wii have in 08 to counter the PS3?

Next year, the PS3 will have enormous games like MGS4, Killzone 2, Final Fantasy 13, LittleBigPlanet and Silent Hill 5 not including the multiplat games it will share with the 360 (DMC4 and RE5).

I'm not seeing anything from the Wii as it will have SSBB and SMG within this year, what will it have to offer next year? Wii Fit and MK? No thank you.

As for the 360? What exactly will come out after Halo 3? Will anything need to? Since Halo is the only thing 360 owners care about?

Well I'm not entirely sure about the Wii, but Wii Fit and Mario Cart will both be big.

As for the 360 though, it definently does not have a bad lineup, at all. Such as: Ninja Gaiden 2, Alan Wake, Lost Oddessy (personally not interested in this one), Fable 2 (one of the bigger xbox franchises), Spinter Cell, Banjo 3 and Halo Wars. That very well could be better then this years lineup, assuming those games turn out well.

In my opinion:

360 2007 + 2008 > PS3 2007 + 2008

Better 2008 lineup does depend largely on games you like though

Not trying to flame? I can assure you, that "Halo is the only thing 360 owners care about" comment will be taken that way.

AnyWHO, I give you credit. I came in expecting another "MGS4, FFXIII, and GT5" thread. At least you replaced gt5 with 3 other titles.

That said, there are games on 360 that will compete just fine with those titles. You have seen them listed before, I am sure. I won't list them all again (but I will say "Lost Odysee and Infinite Undiscovery" for Final Fantasy 13).

We've still got 1/4 of a year to get into and you're worried about next year?

Hopefully, the PS3 games coming out next year will garner more sales than Sony has been seeing. Not that the PS3 is an UTTER failure, but it's definitely a struggling console at the moment.

well none of those ps3 games are going to be release january 1st 2008, so cows will still have nothing to counter ME for sometime. whilst sony have been playing all their cards for next year, ms have been very busy this year.most of next years 360 games havent even been annonced yet.

I'm pretty sure Wii and 360 can sit on the porch and smoke cigarettes next year. They both still have great games coming out and they have a huge following. PS3 might be getting some good games but it needs PS3 owners to by those games. And there aren't a whole lot of PS3 owners yet.

well cow we are still waiting for your bs3 to soar to the top...ive been waiting since sony announced the ps3 launch. all you and your fellow moo's talk about is how great it will be, how it will outsell everything and set records, have the most games and exclusives.....

and now its been almost a year and i dont see anything so great about it, it finally outsold the gbaa few months ago, and the only thing that is set a record on is it's ridiculous high price

and to answer your questions... Gears of War II and Ninja Gaiden II both are more solid AAA franchises then any of the PS Brand games you have mentioned.

I love how the cows cant absorb the fact that sony had nothing to talk about till mid 2008 so they had to blow their entire lineup out... MS hasnt even announced most of their 2008 games.. just like Ninja Gaiden was almost complete before they even acknowledged its existence and exclusivity.
