If you had to choose anything to change for the next gen of consoles, what would it be?
These may include less micro transactions, more single player focused games, less/more digital distribution, etc.

[QUOTE="Next-Gen-Tec"]DLC milkage, and unnecessary multiplayer slapped onto games.dracula_16
I fully agree.
So do I. They should make multiplayer games for multiplayer fans and single player games for single player fans and not mix the two together diluting both in the process.NO MOTION CONTROLS, more single player focused games( better story, more immersion, better atmosphere)

I agree with this. Well, except the motion controls part.

Well the only reason I don't want motion controls is because I don't have enough room in my dorm to be jumping around, plus that would piss off everyone else in my residence.[QUOTE="gamecubepad"]

You don't need to jump around, unless you mean Natal, that requires a lot of space, stuff like the Wii doesn't. I'm not a fan either, but it works well in some games.[QUOTE="ujjval16"]Well the only reason I don't want motion controls is because I don't have enough room in my dorm to be jumping around, plus that would piss off everyone else in my residence. I worded my post wrong. I woundn't mind motion controls like the Wii, or maybe even the PS wand thing, but no Natal.[QUOTE="gamecubepad"]

I agree that motion controls usually don't work well, but the IR sensor functionality is great. The kind of precision you can get on games like Trauma Center or even Wii Play's Duck Hunt minigame are only possible with the Wiimote or computer mouse and keyboard.
Motion Plus will fix the problems associated with the "motion" part of the controls, as shown by Wii Sport Resort and Tiger Woods 10.
Price point/power.
Basically what I've seen from this gen is the cheapest gaming option (the DS) has the best library of exclusive games. Most AAAe on Gamespot (in terms of consoles, not PC). The lackluster power means that developers aren't trying to make games based around graphics, but creativity. Just one look at the DS library and you see a wide array of colorful games, innovative games, and genres that are unplayable on the other consoles.
The industry is going to crash without systems like the DS/Wii bringing new gamers into the market. When a system is not all about power it's a lot better for the industry, and for the gamers in general.
i want same ps3/xbox360 controllers, their great. better graphics card so games can output 1080p for real this time. not the 600p crap mordern warfare 2 is doing, even though it still looks good. free online on the 360, ps3 is fine there. no motion controllers.
add option for keyboard and mouse to be used in the console games. like you just plug it in the usb, and the game auto detects it and changes the key bindings for keyboard and mouse. that would be awesome if you could do that, then MMORPGS and games with many keys can be played on a console. like imagine if blizzard remade the WoW graphics just so it can run on the ps3/360. man that game would look awesome, well heres me dreaming
also, allowing a keyboard/mouse combo to be connected to a console would remove the need for pc gamers to keep upgrading their system to meet the demands of new games. since all games would be made optimized for each console, it would run smooth and look great for the hardware the console has and you wouldnt have to ever upgrade it.
that would be great for rts games and mmo games that want to get into the console world
lol, some of yall are in for some serious disappointment.
personally, im pretty happy with the way things are going. if i could really change something, i think id like to see consoles capable of playing portable games are higher settings. the psp/ps3 interaction with the remote play is very cool; something on the flipside of that, i would love to see. also a super-hd version of knights in the nightmare, please. i dont care how, just make it happen.
Okay, let me just rant here for a bit:
Stop using dumbass point systems like MS' that are designed to make you pay more money than you need to.
Achievements for every console and every game. Also give actual rewards for some achievements, like MS is doing with avatar clothes/props.
Stop cramming in multiplayer, and make more lengthy, story-driven (not just plot-driven) single-player focused games (this means shooters as well).
More creativity and variety. Remember that you don't have to be completely off-the-wall to be unique.
No consoles with a starting price of over $400.
Rewrite the book on MMOs. I want someone to come up with an MMO that's actually fun to play, instead of just reskinning Everquest for the trillionth time.
