well the game is on its way but not much has been said about what they are going to change about it and what they are adding. I am certain we are goingto see some changes from mass effect 1 to 2

Id like to see it on the PS3. I sold my 360. I'll upgrade my pc for that game though, but I hope I dont have to.
Better gunplay. It just felt awkward and stiff in the first Mass Effect. More Town/city areas. Better Side quests and Exploration.AAllxxjjnnBasically this in a nutshell, the cover system needs to be more fluid. Or possibly the option of covering fire while you advance.
Better rewards than gun upgrades and minimal cash for exploring a planet. Seriously I don't remember buying a thing aside from armor in that game and I had about 20 of every upgrade and so many weapons I had no clue what to do.
There should also be a better way of equiping you're team. Sometimes I'd just pick random squad mates just to find how terribly I ignored them.
More civilized areas. As much as I kinda enjoyed rolling around on the Mako on planets with no one on them, I really would've appreciated more of an on foot experience, as well as the increase it would bring in stores and talk-to-able NPCs.
Speaking of stores, the menus for item management in the original sucked. There weren't filters for armor or weapontypes, so selling stuff to stores or managing your inventory was just sorting through a ridiculous list. Somehow a step down from KotOR.
More original sidequests would've helped. The ones on the civilized worlds tended to be good, but the ones on barren planets and the ones that get radioed in were all lacking. It would be nice if I could feel like as much effort was put into each of the quests as was put into Bring Down The Sky. Maybe even a little less.
And I'd like my characters choices, not just in the main story, but also in the more major sidequests, to have more Effects on the, you know, Masses.

This and... *gasp* 3 player co-op?! :oAs long as they make exploring planets less boring, I'll be happy.

Why do people keep saying this? They just said they were improving the shooter mechanics.Their going to perfect it into a third person shooter to rival gears... Thats what the fans want I guess.. I want another masterful game like KOTOR, thats bringing my standards too high in this day and age though.

Fix the dam Tec issues.Make sure the Mako doesint feel like im driving a bouncy ball with wheels glued to it. More varied planet for sidequest. I swear all the sidequest planets felt the same with a different color pallet. Make AI better.
Huh? You could save everywhere when not in combat. What do you expect?also a more forgiving save system.

also a more forgiving save system.

[QUOTE="Svarthek"]Huh? You could save everywhere when not in combat. What do you expect?I understand where he's coming from sometimes you would forget to save and your last save point would be pretty far back. They could make it so that everytime you enter a new area it autosaves. While I had no real problem with the save system, it could have autosaved a bit more often.also a more forgiving save system.

More interesting NPCs - Wrex was okay, others boring(too serious) or left shallow.
More dialogue options - Discussions should branch out more with different outcomes.
More skills/traits - It was just too narrow list, never had to think twice what skill to raise.
More weapons - And make them actually different and not just Generic Shotgun MKI, Generic Shotgun MK2 etc.
More detail - The planets you explore are just way too barren, needs moar life.
So I've just watched those interviews on gametrailers and that guy said if you import your Mass Effect 1 save file all the decisions you made will have influence on Mass Effect 2. That's awesome. Looks like I have a reason to play it yet again.

They already have that lol, you have to turn on autosave in the options menu, then everytime you enter a new area, it saves. entering/exiting normandy, fast traveling at the citadel, after elevator rides, etc, all automatically saves when its turned on[QUOTE="nethernova"][QUOTE="Svarthek"]

One, Commander Shepard needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine.I love you, thrillhouse. Two, whenever Commander Shepard's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Commander Shepard"?

I would like to see a longer main storyline, seemed pretty short to me. More side missions and to be able to explore more planets.Mudlunny
Yea i noticed that too. The main story line could be completed in like 2 days and if you went hard proboly just a day. Also I want the guy/girl who voices shperd to put more emotion into the line. Compared to rest of the cast he/she sounded like a robot.
[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"]This and... *gasp* 3 player co-op?! :o I think you're on to something legendary...As long as they make exploring planets less boring, I'll be happy.

I know that but there have been times if you aren't aware, you can lose an hour or so because you didn't save. It isn't much of a problem on the Citadel, but afterwards, it becomes a bit of a pain in the ass. It could use some tightening up.
First and foremost (and this goes for the rest of the games from here on out) , DO NOT I repeat DO NOT have that small arse text in the game. If so please implement a text scale option for those of us who don't wish to sit 2 feet from our tvs. Secondly, and this specifically is directed at Bioware, smooth out the framerate no matter the situation and no matter the cost asset-wise. All of your games since the Xbox has been around look incredible visually but that stuttering framerate during action in KOTOR, Jade Empire and Mass Effect has to come to an end.
If you want some reference material, look up any Sega AM2 game, Any of the Ninja Gaiden series and any game by Myamoto. It's all about load and asset management and not trying to throw as much on screen as humanly possible just as long as the GPU doesn't completely choke to death.
Better sidequests (bring down the sky was good though)
a more compelling use for other party members (a garrus,Wrex/ash party is godly)
more fluid shooter mechanics
and that's all i could really think of, besides these things, this game was the best western rpg i've played (and i've played Oblivion).
Guess you better start upgrading. Also they just need to add the features they elimanted from the first game to make it a better game.Id like to see it on the PS3. I sold my 360. I'll upgrade my pc for that game though, but I hope I dont have to.
Mr_Ditters
