If there was one game in 07 that hermits, sheep, lemmings, and cows all agreed was great, it was Portal. Seems like everyone had fun with game, and besides being critizied for being short, no one seems to ever bash it. You guys?

Hmm... that's actually unusually right. I haven't seen many people bashing Zack and Wiki, but that's probably because no one has played. It's easily the most overlooked game of 2007.
Nobody bashed Rock Band's gameplay that I know of. The price and hardware, yeah. I'd also nominate Portal. We even generally liked its short length, it didn't get 'old' by then. Did many people actually hate on The Witcher? Peggle Deluxe? I know CoD4, Halo 3 and World in Conflict got a lot of hate. WiC in particular ate a lot of stupid 'it's not a real RTS because it doesn't carbon copy WC/C&C style' hate.
The only oneI can think of is Portal... every other game has been attacked from fanboys left and right (mostly), or disliked by a few real gamers... I've never played portal, but I sure want to.
Dude, what kind of game does everyone like. This reminds me when Hideo Kojima agreeing with Roger Ebert that video games aren't art and they must be fun for everyone. The funnest part about his game was getting to look at a half naked polygonal female model.
